This is a 1972 Triumph Tiger it is 650cc and has a five sreed trans. I believe the bike is a original 3000 mile bike but was customized very early in life. The frame is stock and in original condition the frame and motor are still number matching. This bike belonged to a friend who owned it from about 1975 he bought it from the original owner who did the customizing so there are no original parts that come with it. My friend rode the bike until 1978 and parked it when he bought a KZ Kawasaki. This bike has been sitting from 1978 until June of this year. I cleaned the carb put new fuel lines on cleaned the fuel tank which is fiberglass installed a new battery and put a new rear tire on, I still have the original rear tire with a lot of thread on it and the bike started right up. I only rode the bike a couple of miles since I do not have a motorcycle license and it starts stops and shifts like it should. The title is in my friends name but he can not find it. He went to reapply for a new title and they said since it has not been registered since 1978 he has to prove it is his bike by showing a insurance card, old license plate or some thing proving it is his and he has nothing. They can do a archive search which could take a long time to prove it is his or I can do a bonded title but that takes to long so I am selling it with a bill of sale. I am sure there is other states which is easier to get a title than Illinois. The bike is being sold as is with a bill of sale buyer responsible for all shipping costs. I could part the bike out but would rather see it stay together and some one enjoy it.
