The Snake. This car has been driven & enjoyed, but not abused. It is well maintained, sharp, very clean and needs nothing. This is a 32 valve, double overhead cam supercharged & inter-cooled 5.4 liter Ford GT500 Cobra. It has a 6-speed manual transmission. It develops 500 horsepower and 480 foot-pounds of torque. The engine of this special edition car was hand-assembled by the Ford Special Vehicle Team (SVT). Motor Trend tested it in the 1/4 mile: 12.6 seconds @ 114.2 mph. Motor Trend tested 0-60 performance: 4.5 seconds (in 1st gear). 14 inch vented Brembo disc brakes on the front/ 11.8 vented disc brakes on the rear. This is a convertible. The cloth top looks in ‘as new’ condition & operates the same. During my stewardship (in addition to regular maintenance): JLT Cold Air intake. BAMA 93 octane tune (hand-held X4/SF4 tuner/ can be returned to stock if OEM cold air intake is re-installed.) OEM 3.73 differential gears. Carbon fiber driveshaft from the Driveshaft Shop. Whiteline adjustable Panhard bar. Whiteline Panhard bar brace. Corsa axle-back exhaust. Chrome Bullitt 18” wheels (2007 convertibles had 17” wheels): 18 x 9/ 18 x 10.5. Nitto NT 555 tires. Front: 255 45 18/ Rear: 285 40 18. Raxion Gen5 sequential tail lights. Hood struts from CDC. Driver & Passenger airbag recalls completed. “An intoxicating mix of '60s-era muscle and modern-day refinement, the 2007 Ford Shelby GT500’s supercharged V8 gives it the acceleration and speed of an exotic.” (Edmunds) Over the past weeks of advertising this car on eBay, I’ve been repeatedly messaged with one odd, but honest, question, “Do you know why this car hasn’t sold?” Here’s my best-guess answer to that question: “By checking KBB, or some other pricing site, you'll see I'm selling the Shelby at wholesale. That's because it has 53,200 miles. Most of us would consider that low mileage for a 2007, but some Shelby purists think this awesome car was built to sit in a garage or on a trailer. This car (especially as a convertible) is worth more, but I'm realistic. It's a creampuff and a demon.
