1998 Nissan Frontier XE 2WD 5-Speed manual King Cab Extended Cab Minitruck / Pickup. Very Clean all original, unmodified condition for sale by the second owner, (owned for the last 17 years). No rust, has been in Southern California since new. This mini truck has been very reliable, requiring only scheduled maintenance (used synthetic motor for most services) and replacing wear and tear items like brake pads, windshield wipers, tires etc. The truck looks as good as when I first purchased it 17 years ago when it had only 12,000 miles on it and since then has been used mostly for just local driving, it has rarely been driven outside of a 100-mile radius of my home in Southern California. Very low mileage, odometer currently shows about 100,800 miles which averages out to about 5,000 miles driven per year since new, (well below the national mileage average of 15,000 per year). The 2.4 Liter 4-cylinder engine has 143 horsepower and 154 lb.-ft. of torque which provides enough power while getting very good MPG for a truck. The engine is very strong and starts on the first turn of the key. The 5-speed transmission shifts smoothly. Easily passes the toughest California smog test. All other mechanical components are in good condition, no need to bring a trailer, If you are on the east coast and considering purchasing this truck, it can be driven across America comfortably and reliably. The bed condition looks great and the factory Nissan bed liner does not show any signs of wear and tear. Other than moving a few loads of furniture when we moved to a new house, the bed has rarely been loaded or used. The interior condition looks great, door panels are in good condition, dashboard is not cracked or faded and the seats have the original cloth material. All 4 tires have plenty of tread left on them and the chrome front and rear bumpers are shiny and bright, please see photos. This truck has a clean AutoCheck vehicle report (no accidents).
