Up for sale is a rare 1953 Cadillac Eldorado. 1953 was the introductory year for the Eldorado. Only 532 of these cars were built! The original sale piece was $7750!! The survivors registry estimates maybe 250 of these remain. Making this car and opportunity very rare!! This car is unknown to the registry. It was hidden away in a huge collection. I had the opportunity to purchase the car last year. This car was repainted in 1986 in its original share of Azure blue. The paint is starting to show some age. The correct seat upholstery, carpet and conv top were also replaced back in 1986. That stuff has held up extremely well. The car runs and drives well. The firestone white walls were installed last year. The hydraulic cylinders and lines for the windows, seat and top were also replaced last year. The windows and seat work. The top is currently manual due to the hydraulic switchover valve located under the rear seat needs a rebuild. The body on this car is 100% original steel with NO rot repair EVER!! One of the best bodies I’ve ever seen on a convertible Cadilac from the 50’s!! It’s a great car to grab ice cream in and attend local cruise nights!! The car is sold as is.
