This car is running but barely drives, my friend that is a mechanic says it needs work on the timing belt tensioner thus the price. It could possibly need the engine rebuilt but he thinks it is very likely something more simple like the timing belt tensioner because you can hear it slipping before the car dies. However there could be a busted rod, but for now it can drive. There is also a bit of rust on the wheel well but nothing much and subarus pretty much always have rust. It has lower miles than average for this year, and the past owner has done a lot of the work that is usually necessary on these like both of the head gaskets so it's unlikely serious things will go wrong with it now, also all oil changes done on time, there is records of all repairs. It has been fine for me I bought it last year for the winter for skiing but I have another car and wont be needing it now and I am moving to California so need to downsize.
