Vehicle Description Have a time machine? Set your dials back, just a bit, to the 2007 model year. Yes, the year the iPhone was introduced and the 2nd generation Ford Shelby GT500 hit showrooms. Based on the 5th generation Mustang, the high-performance version was built up with improvement nearly everywhere. From the 500HP Eaton supercharged 5.4L V8 engine and 6-speed manual transmission to the more athletic suspension, to the beefed-up brakes, and larger tires this Shelby was tweaked to near perfection.Of the... 174,417 Mustangs built in 2007, just 2702 GT500 convertibles were produced. Just 31 of those cars were optioned with the Tungsten Grey paint and paired with the black and red leather seats. Just five of those came with the upgraded Shaker 1000 Audio system. One of five? Nope, one of three as this example also came with the front license plate bracket — which is still in the box in the trunk along with the floor mats, convertible top boot, and SVT door sill plates.The rest of the car is also in its factory wrapper. This example never made it through dealer prep. The factory plastic seat covers remain over the leather. The protective film remains on the convertible top seals, and the factory window stickers still remain on the passenger door glass. What was done? After getting the car, the receiving Ford dealer in Wadesboro, NC received the vehicle’s mandatory Safety Inspection sticker in May 2007 (expired May 2008) – documentation available. Take a look at the underside photos, all the factory marking and stickers remain in perfect order.Frozen in time? Perhaps, what we do know is that with less than 7 miles on the odometer, this is the lowest mileage example known to exist.
