Vehicle Detail
1987 Cadillac AllanteRuns and drives great. Its in great shape for its age. 114,000 miles on itWas stored indoors until just recently, which is why I'm selling, just don't have the room for it.Beautiful car.All original except the exhaust, which was replaced by the previous owner. Comes with hardtop and soft top, hardtop is in great shape, soft top has 2 small slits in it about 3 inches long on on the rear part of each side (between the side and rear window) from where it had remained folded for so long. Could be easily repaired. 4.1L V8 runs great, plenty of power for that light of a car. Never had any problems mechanically.Interior is the thing that surprised me the most when I bought the car, its in amazing shape, the leather looks basically new, dash/tower is in great shape. Driving this car, with the dials and bucket seats, feels like taking a time machine back to the Miami Vice days. I've never had any warning lights pop up, except the parking brake warning light, which remains on despite the parking break not being on, not sure whats going on with that but it has no effect at all so I haven't tried to fix it.Paint is in great shape, no clear coat peeling.Power locks/windows work great, power seats, with memory, AC/Heat, radio/cassette player, everything works great.Just put a new tire on it, new engine paint, fresh oil change, coolant flush.Doesn't overheat, I recently drove it from Augusta to Savannah and back, without a single problem.Personally, I think these Allantes should be worth a lot more than they are going for at the moment (They retailed for 60,000 in the 80s) but sadly most people don't feel the same, this truly is a great car, built by Cadillac, styled by the Italians. Feel free to ask me questions and look at the pictures carefully. Car is being sold as is.
