Body-on restored during the late 1990s/early 2000s and eventually enjoyed at various car shows, cruise nights and classic car functions all around the Tri-state area.Originally a plain six banger, engine in it is currently is a 454ci 4 bolt main BIG BLOCK that runs beautifully and has been serviced regularly throughout the years. Mated to a 4 Speed manual transmission and 10 bolt rear end. Car was built up with all the options and appearance package to be a real RS/SS 396. Body is beautifully nice and straight with ALL STEEL panels. Quality paint that shows beautifully with a few tiny imperfections. Interior is BEAUTIFUL as well with nearly everything new!Convertible top is nearly LIKE NEW and works perfectly.Underside has an EXCELLENT frame and nearly PERFECT floorboards and trunk pan with the correct salt shakers.I've been looking to get one of these Camaro convertibles for myself for the last 5 years and found this one a while ago and had my fun with it. It's time to let it go to someone else that will enjoy and take care of it as well as I have. Although a beautiful car, it is NOT perfect by any means: hidden headlights need to be converted to electric to work. May need one or two bulbs replaced here and there where needed. Tachometer not hooked up. Body is very clean with nice paint but it is not absolutely perfect with a couple of minor spots where paint is cracked (hard to notice unless I point them out). Transmission pops out of 1st gear from time to time unless you hold the stick there with your hand, probably throwout bearing.
