Vehicle Detail

Up for sale is a 1979 L48 Corvette coupe. I recently acquired the car, installed a plastic fuel filter to keep it clean, and added fuel. The car started right up and kicked down to an idle. I would recommend either dropping the tank, or cleaning it out better than I did, if you want to take this on the road. The brakes worked fine without any bleeding necessary. Tires hold air but would replace them if you plan on driving this as is. The car has been registered through this year, and the previous owner last drove it 2 years ago and put stabilizer in the tank before it sat. The interior has great seats in oyster color. However, the carpet throughout needs to be replaced. Radio and power antenna work. The t top inserts are missing, but I think I might have an old set in black that I will throw in if found. Rear storage compartment has cracked on the plastic frame, but it has all 3 fiberglass lids. No jack, but jack handle is present. Had an AC belt attached, but I cut it when I was working on it, so I do not know if it will blow cold. Speedometer/tachometer plastic cover was off the dash and cracked but I still have it. Headlights and lights around the car work. The only item I couldn't tell if worked was rear defrost light. The power windows are tricky, with passenger needing to wiggle the console switch. Driver side window was working but may have a motor going bad. The body... the front tip of the hood has peeled and weathered. There are random paint flakes. Passenger side was not in direct sunlight, so it held up better than the driver side. Driver side has stress cracks in rear quarter as seen in the pics. one in driver side door, and spot on passenger rear quarter where it meets the bumper. Trying to be as honest as possible here. Finally, the frame...very solid throughout until you gaze under driver side door. two spots that could use a weld. Pictures show the degree of rust, but structurally, I would say welding it would work fine. Exhaust has been cut off right after the catalytic converter as it was rusty and could not be saved. Front manifolds are in great shape, as is the Y pipe and the cat. Car had bright green radiator fluid in it when I checked it out, and assume the motor would run fine for a long duration. Engine has after market valve covers, but everything else seems to be factory. I may be missing a few details, so email with questions. I can help with loading the car, but buyer assumes responsibility for shipping. 90eight-2five6-1nine75 is where I can be reached. Matt
