Here's a 2005 BMW 545i from an estate; been basically sitting since December 2015. First the good points: I have the original window sticker, says car originally delivered to Scottsdale, AZ. Has been in Indiana since about 2010 but shows no rust. Original options included Premium Sound (Logic 7 Audio, 6 disc in-dash CD changer), fold down rear seats w/ ski bag, and Sport Package. Also has tinted windows. Factory wheels replaced with 18s, shod in ContiExtremeContact DWS rubber, 245/40/18 front and 275/35/18 rear, >50% tread left. Brand new battery from AutoZone. All interior lights, accessories, etc., working well. Paint, body, and interior are in very good to excellent condition. Has BMW rubber all weather floor mats as well as carpeted mats. Now for the not so great: Shows an active steering fault. May need the steering rack replaced - easy parts availability from RockAuto, but no idea how much labor to change. Check engine light is on, showing the 3 codes above. The coolant issue is a concern; car loses coolant, maybe burning it - which points to a cylinder head or head gasket issue. DO NOT plan to drive this car any significant distance without doing some major engine work; it starts up and you can drive it on and off a trailer, but that's all I would recommend for the moment. Last time I started it the center screen said there was a fault in the passenger side airbag system; however, I could not recreate that issue when I started it today to take the pictures so I do not know what that's about.
