It comes with both its original 427/425HP block and a fresh nearly 500HP big block! Looking under the hood, you can't help but notice all the orange overspray - just like it was when painted new on the assembly line. And, the new engine is fully broken-in and dyno-tested. She is balanced just right with city manners and track-pounding ability.The underside is fresh, clean,... and correctly marked. The four-speed manual transmission adds to the fun, as does the 4.11:1 posi-traction rear axle. Power brakes and power steering complete the package and make this a wonderfully balanced example.The red paint, a change from white, is remarkable, smooth, and glossy with amazing reflection. Finishing off the exterior are the rear valance ported dual exhaust system and beautiful knock-off wheels wearing modern radial tires.Like the rest of the car, the interior was carefully completed. The seats are finished with fresh red vinyl to original specifications. The carpet has been replaced, the instrument cluster restored, and all the little details like radio & door knobs have been attended to.The original big block is shown below in photos. The engine's restorer noticed some prior damage to the block making it unsuitable for reliable road use, the reason for opting for a replacement block.
