You are bidding on a rare 1964 Chevrolet Impala SS Convertible that has been off the road since 1988. It is equipped with a 283 V8 engine and 2 speed PowerGlide transmission. The car was acquired from the original owner and to the best of our knowledge all numbers are matching. It is an incomplete amateur restoration project that was stored in a portable garage. The engine runs smooth, and the transmission shifts into gear solidly. All of the trim is complete, but not all of it is installed on the car. The front and rear bumpers are missing. The interior is complete, but will require reupholstering. There is no battery. Also missing are the keys, but the ignition is unlocked and door/trunk lid keys have been removed and stored. The following items have been replaced or repaired: gas tank has been renewed, brake lines and master cylinder, rear body mounts, driver’s side floor pan, driver’s side quarter panel. Please note: cars manufactured prior to 1973 were not issued a title in NY, the registration served as proof of ownership. Feel free to message me if you have any additional questions.
