Vehicle Detail
Here's a sweet little 1965 Honda S65 ready for daily use or to show & go on nice weekends! I have ridden it very little and never in bad weather. I've had it to the local kick-down show here in Louisville the past couple of years and it always draws the crowd. It is very original down to the original Nitto tires! These tires still have lots of tread left but are showing cracks/dry rot on the sidewalls. I have never driven this bike over 40 mph because of that, but have new tires to go with this sale if the next owner wants to mount them and give the bike everyday use. I have put only three hundred miles on it in my nearly four years of ownership! I kept it in my den for the 1st two years I owned it. I am the 3rd owner. The 2nd owner had it for over 20 years and bought it from a lady who's husband bought it new in 1965 from Hawk's Honda Sales in Springfield, OH. It still has the Honda Dealer sticker on the rear fender! It comes with the original Honda Owner's Manual and tool kit in the side compartment. Even the seat is the factory original and still supple with no tears or wear & still has the red Honda insignia on the back. I just rebuilt the carb, installed new fuel petcock & fuel line, installed new battery, changed the oil and installed a new spark plug. This bike is ready to ride & enjoy-starts 1st kick every time! I think the bike is in close to near perfect un-restored condition with the exception of the chrome muffler shielding and chrome rims which are showing some peppering of the chrome finish-still pretty good for 54 years old! Also the 2nd owner had the tank re-painted due to where gas had spilled on it over the years. Still looks great and matches very nicely! The luggage rack is a dealer add on from back in the day and still has perfect chrome! Also, everything works as it should-lights(High & Low Beam), Neutral indicator light, horn, tail light and brake light. I have a clear Kentucky title in my name. Other than maybe having the new tires installed, I cannot imagine anything that the bike needs. Thanks for looking and-Good Luck bidding!
