This is a complete vehicle that came to our shop for repair, and the owner decided to buy a different vehicle instead. There are two major problems. First the electric engine thermostat shorted and melted some wires in the engine harness. Second the steering column module is failing and the key won't turn in the lock unless you disconnect the battery. The fix for one thing is wiring harness repair, and thermostat replacement. The fix for the other is sending the column to one of the folks on ebay who offers rebuild services on columns The rest of the vehicle looks decent. Leather and carpet and dash complete, not ripped or damaged. Headliner ok. The body is ok with just a few scuffs but no major damage. Wheels ok, tires worn. The right front window does not work. The right outside mirror is flopping loose. Engine runs fine, and the car shifts gears in the yard. These BMW powered Range Rovers have a good reputation for reliability, compared to the older models. Brakes feel ok. This seems like a vehicle that someone would fix up, but if you needed an engine or transmission/transfer case or body it could be a donor car. Scan for codes reveals:- DME has fuel level sender code P0462- ABS has system deactivate temporary- Steering has OC - CAN bus off, O5 steering angle sensor fault- Airbag has supply voltage fault- AC has sensor voltage regulation fault,, left and right solar sensors, air qual sensor fault, aspirator motor fault- Pass window up relay short to ground- Body module has servo valves short/open- Instrument pack has CAN faults, fuel sender 2 fault- Transfer box has battery voltage low, motor A and B open/load Vehicle is relatively rust free. This Land Rover has a clear Maine title which will be conveyed to the winning bidder. Since this is a motor vehicle the buyer will be responsible for 6.25% MA sales tax and a $179 document processing fee in addition to the bid amount. Buyer will also be responsible for all tag and title fees in their state of registration, should they decide to register it. The car is sold as-is, where-is, for parts or restoration. It is not a road ready car and is not subject to any warranties for road use. Do not bid unless you plan to fix up or part out this vehicle. This vehicle will be subject to 6.25% MA sales tax, and there is a $179 document processing fee to cover costs of title record keeping. Those amounts will be in addition to the bid price.
