Vehicle Detail

This is a 1971 Honda CB 350 that was purchased by my father in the 1980s. He rode it for a few years and then stopped riding. The last registration date was in 1990 as can be seen on the license plate. It sat for many years until one day, about 4 years ago, I cleaned out the gas tank and got it running. I noticed that the spark plug wires were fractured because part of the spark was going to my leg rather than to the spark plug. I removed the ignition coil with the full intention to replace the coil and get the bike running so that I could do a cafe racer conversion. That was 4 years ago. Today the bike still sits, non-functional, missing an ignition coil, and waiting for someone with the time to do it justice and convert it into the mean cafe racing machine that it deserves to be. The kickstart has never worked on the bike, it has always been started with the electric starter. There is a dent on the right side of the fuel tank as seen in the pictures. There is fluid leakage on the left front fork, probably a damaged seal. The tires are dry rotted but still hold enough pressure to roll the bike from one place to another - they will need to be replaced before anyone trusts their life to the machine. The chrome is pitted but cleaned up easily four years ago. Missing the air intake covers on both sides. Although I put fuel stabilizer in the tank when I last filled it four years ago, I'm sure that you will need to clean or replace the carburetors before it will run. I'm including the old nonfunctional ignitor coil, a "Clymer Honda 250 & 350cc twins 1964-1974 maintenance and repair book" ISBN 0-89287-209-8 (sad to say that the book still looks brand new without a drop of oil or even a greasy thumbprint) and a couple of replacement spark plugs. I've come to the sad realization that I will never have the time to take care of the bike as it deserves. Hopefully it will go to a good home. If it can't become a cafe racer then a parts donor will be better than slowly disintegrating in the rain. I have a clear title in hand. Local pickup only - I do not ship using uShip. Cash only at time of pickup. Motorcycle must be inspected in person by the actual buyer before completing the sale - sorry no agents or shippers. Exchange will take place in the parking lot of the local police substation. You will need a trailer because, as mentioned, the motorcycle is currently non-functional. Thanks for looking, I'm sorry for all the conditions but this is a vintage bike and I want you to be satisfied with your purchase. Check my feedback, I've been on ebay for about 19 years - I want you to be happy with your purchase and I think you will need to see the bike in person before handing over your hard earned cash.
