today you are viewing a 1978 Mercedes 450 slc these coupes are getting hard to find and will be a great investment as these 450 sl and slc are rapidly climbing in value this is a garage find and lady owned car and has been sitting in her garage for many years I put a fresh battery in and fuel and she fired right up I did a oil and filter change and will need a tune up I put about 50 miles on the car and it drives well keeps good oil pressure and runs very cool even in 90 degree weather the body is solid with just a couple of touch ups on the left front eyebrow and the right door the interior is actually very nice for her age the worst spot being the top of the rear seat that is very common for this model all glass is good and all the power windows work the sunroof is not working I hear the motor working sounds like a bad cable but on the upside the ac works (amazing) the compressor kicks right on when engaged it does smoke a little on take off but It needs a tuneup and needs to be driven the car has sat idle for 10+ years drives and stops good exhaust is good needs a couple of the rubber hangers the bumpers and trim are in great condition with that said in my opinion if you can afford to buy this and just put it away keep it in running condition this car will bring a big return in the future these cars are 12 to 20k already look them up on eBay this is a running and driving project and is sold as is deposits are none refundable so check with your better half first any questions call bob at 248-761-2805
