Vehicle Detail
In 1971, this Lincoln Mark III was the most expensive and highest rated luxury car in America. It's a great example of a mostly original, unrestored survivor with less than 80,000 miles on the odometer. Runs and drives like a champ, with just enough patina to give it real character. With a bit of buffing, the chrome will look like new. The car has been stored inside and has a new battery, gas tank, carburetor and brake master cylinder. Pros: Everyone gets out of your way and dislocates their neck while watching you go by. The interior, including carpet, is spotless. The leather upholstery is of excellent quality, shows virtually no wear, and is still supple. The dash trim is thick, genuine walnut in fine shape. All gauges and lighting appear to work properly. The power front seats are the desirable high back, one-piece design. The chrome isn't perfect, but will be with some buffing. It has a new battery, gas tank and new/rebuilt carburetor. It has had a recent tune-up with new plugs, points and plug wires. Flip-headlight doors work properly Important to note: Car needs tires. It had new tires when it was stored, but one of them has split down the middle so I suggest all new tires just to be safe. It has some paint peeling on the passenger door as shown in photos. Elsewhere, paint is in very good to fine condition. There's a ticking sound coming from the exhaust manifold. A new gasket is included with the car.The AC operates but doesn't blow cold air; probably needs R22. The electric window has come off the runner; window motor does run. Passenger power window works. *** Car is for sale locally. Seller reserves the right to end auction early. *** All in all, this 1971 Lincoln Mark III is in amazing shape for its age. We have made every effort to describe this car accurately. Please take a close look at the photos, which show the car in detail. Car is sold as is, where is. Don't hesitate to ask for further information. Thanks for looking!
