NO RESERVE, NO RESERVE, NO RESERVE. This awesome Corvette coupe started life in 1965 as a 4-speed 327. The original engine and transmission were swapped out for an LT-1 with automatic overdrive transmission. You get the best of both worlds with this car. You get theclassic styling of the 1965 Corvette with the fuel-injected reliability of the modern LT-1 engine. The automatic overdrive trans shifts smoothly but firmly. This car is FAST!! The engine starts right up every time, of course and the car runs, drives and handles excellent. It comes to life when you stomp on the pedal. The engine sounds amazing, too. Of course, no car in the south would be complete without AC and this one blows COLD! The engine installation was done professionally and is neat and clean. The leather seats have a distinct patina that you would expect from a car this age. The teak steering wheel adds a nice touch. The clutch pedal was left intact and the tach and clock are not working at the moment. The hidden headlight motors work fine. The original mileage is unknown and was voided when the engine was installed. I listed the mileage only because ebay insists on a number. I also have a set of matching "stingray" floor mats that go with the car. In January of this year, the following items were done...Pinion seal replaced - Front brake calipers rebuilt - New water pump and thermostat - A/C charged - New pinion seal - Spark plugs, new wires - New coil. This car is not a trailer queen and you will find a few tiny rock chips, but nothing at all that detracts from the beauty of the car. The paint is Nassau Blue and is bright and shiny. The previous owner did extensive work on several items (bushings, seals, etc) and the car needs nothing but a new home. I am holding a clear Texas title in my name and the car is ready to go. Most Corvettes with this engine swap are priced out of this world, but this one is quite affordable for what you are getting. The car is also for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction at any time. I am only selling because I am considering retirement soon and I have too many cars. I can store the car indoors while you make arrangements to pick it up or I will pick you up at the airport if you want to fly in and drive the car home. Yes, the car is that reliable. A $1,000 paypal deposit is expected at the end of auction and the balance needs to be paid within 72 hours via wire transfer. There is no warranty and the car is being sold as-is/where-is.
