Vehicle Detail
Thanks for looking at the 1969 Mustang Mach 1. It is a very clean car with a very nice interior. The car has a new engine. That is a new engine with all new parts. Nothting bored or refurbished. The car also has the dress up package with the front air dam, shaker hood, louvers, rear spoiler and a fold down back seat. The Mach 1 has an older restoration and is starting to show some age. I included pictures of areas that will need attention. Personally, I would repaint below the body line and leave the rest. There was some $$ spent in the day on the paint job. The undercarriage is superb on the car. Extra clean floors, frame rails inner aprons and trunk floor. Fining a Mach 1 that has a solid foundation is extremely tough. If you look around the back window, there is no rust either. There are pictures of the frame behind the gas tank. They look wonderful. The car has a new engine in it. The engine is a 428 SCJ with all new parts. That would be a new block, heads, pistons, cam, act. I am going by the person that I purchased the car from and they also wrote it down. I do believe them, but they didn't keep any of the receipts. The builder of the engine was built by Powell from Georgia in 2007. They stated that there was less than 200 miles put on the engine in the past ten years. The shaker on the car decodes to C92F-9B634. It is all real ford equipment. But, the Marti report doesn't state the car came with one. I do have the engine that came out of the car. The winning bidder is welcome to have it at no additional cost. You will need to take into account transporting it. Just like the prior owner, I just do not have the time to enjoy the car. It is just sitting in the garage and with it being in such good condition; it should get the TLC it needs and be enjoyed. By the time I get around to it, it would be years down the road and most likely would need a total restoration. Items that need attention: It has stinky gas in it, so that should be driven out or drained. It looks like the gasket on the drain plug needs replacing and the mechanical choke is sticky. The passenger door opens from the inside, but not the outside. I believe a rod popped off. Disclosure: The car title is in my name. The title is clear and open. You can view all the details from the Marti Report attached in the picture gallery. Call if you have any questions, it isn't a cheap car and I want you to feel comfortable bidding on the car. I require a $200 deposit from the winning bidder, it is in my garage, so storage isn't an issue, but would like it picked up within 30 days after the end of the auction. Any check received, must clear the bank before the car is released. I reserve the right to end the auction early. Thanks for the interest. Tim in MN. 763-245-6507
