For sale is an early year production (Hurst Hatch T-top) 1978 Trans Am SE. The car is in need of a total restoration, but it is well worth the investment.The car came from the factory very highly optioned, and everything has been documented by PHS (PHS paperwork included with sale, including the original build sheet, and a reproduction of the window sticker).It is an original starlight black car, with the "German script" gold lettering and stripes. Camel tan velour interior. It was equipped with the W72 high 220hp performance engine, and the 3 speed automatic. Some of the factory options and equipment are: AU3- POWER LOCKS, A01- TINTED GLASS, A90- TRUNK REMOTE, A31- ELECTRIC WINDOWS, C49- REAR DEFROST, C60- AIR CONDITIONING, GU5- 3.23 AXLE, G80- POSITRACTION, K30- CRUISE CONTROLAgain, this car needs a total restoration from top to bottom. It is not in running condition. There is rust in the rear quarters, and surface corrosion on most of the body panels, but it is a very solid car to fully restore. I was told when I purchased the car that is is numbers matching, but I did not verify this. The casting on the front of the block "X7 WC" coincide with a 220hp 400 engine in 1978, so that is inline with what I was told.
