1962 Velocette Venom Endurance Engine Number - cases VM 5672. Frame Number RS 17674. Gearbox Number 12-10846 Original Milage -unknown about 1500 since rebuild - 45 Photos in the description below and video. This is a very nice running riding Velocette Venom Endurance a rather rare Velocette model mostly but not exclusively built for the American market, which came equipped standard with the small Red and chrome gas tank ( it was also available in black ), later versions as this is with a Venom Engine and 12-series ratio gearbox - for Viper Venom with Intermediate ratios, MSS wheel hubs Woodhead-Monroe Shocks, along with standard RS frame and forks, 19 inch wheels and duel saddle as seen, 7 inch miller headlamp with Miller ammeter, This motorcycle from the looks of it an older restoration, I do not know much history of this machine, it was owned by a guy in his 90's in Northern California for many years and where i got it. This machine has a nice original paint gas tank, stainless steel fenders, and as you can see it is nearly all correct, I do know it is the wrong Chronometric speedometer on it, but it works and a few fasteners look to be incorrect, otherwise it appears to be right and shows very well for a used ridden old motorcycle, it has a nice clean look with a nice patina. It is when you know the drill a first or second kick starter and starts very easily even after long periods on non use cold or hot, I have personally put about a 1000 miles on this bike and I have to say it changed my mind about Velocette's, not my first but defiantly the best one I have had the pleasure of owning, plenty of power for a 500cc single and it pull and handles really well I can honestly say it is a very nice old bike to ride and will gladly go all day long with no problems when either hot or cold, brakes are decent for age but obviously no as good as modern brakes, tires are new Metzler block C 350 19 which are great !, Frame is in excellent with very nice paint as are the forks, condition on all the parts on this bike is all in very good order, wheel chrome is average but still shines well, the gas tank has some paint chips and fading and one tiny ding as seen, seat is very good and soft, lights all work no horn button but horn is there. All in all a nice rare old Velcoette that is a joy to ride, easy to start and a really fun British bike to own, These Endurance models do not come around to often, so do not miss it, if there is something I have missed please ask and please look at the 45 pictures below and video at the bottom, thanks for looking Anyone is more than welcome and encouraged to come and see this motorcycle before bidding.
