Thank you for taking the time to read my ad for my 04 Acura MDX. It has been a great suv for us since we have owned it. However, within this last year it has had some issues from time to time and think it is time to let her go to a new home. I will give you a run-down of the good and the bad and see if it is right for you. Pros- things that have been done within the past 4k miles. 1) 1)Timing belt, water pump and Thermostat. 2) 2)Radiator and hoses. 3) 3)Power steering pump. 4) 4)Fuel pump assembly. 5) 5)Spark plugs. 6) 6)Right rear window motor regulator assembly. 7) 7)Vapor canister purge valve -Things replaced since ownership that still provide positives for a new owner. 8) All 4 Michelin Latitude Tours have very good tread on them. I’d say at least 70% left. 9) The brake pads and rotors were replaced within last 2 years. Does have a clean title in my name!Emissions is good for 1 more year! Now for the bad *********Will need a new headgasket!! Price lowered to reflex issue. 1) The abs light has been on ever since we bought the car. One original test drive I didn’t see this. However, the next day we went to pick up suv and signed papers we went to leave and it was there. Maybe the dealer pulled a fast one I don’t know. It may just need the computer reprogrammed. I have seen some companies advertise that you ship computer and for $40 bucks will reprogram it for you. I’d just recently discovered this. 2) The front facia is a little beat up. I did buy a replacement facia I can include in sale for extra $100( will need to be painted, buy it is primed. I have the paint if you want to do it yourself). 3) I have the replacement fog light that is missing in pics. 4) The whole suv has miscellaneous dents, dings and scratches. The biggest dent is in the driver rear door. I have a replacement black door that I bought soon after buying Mdx. However, it has a pin stripe under window design. Which the rest of Mdx doesn`t. I can include if asking price is met. 5) The Mdx has a mysterious misfire on all cylinder code. We have replaced pretty much everything I have read that could be the problem. From what I have read I think the only thing it could be is the valves need to be adjusted. I just don’t want to put any more money into this thing. 6) The driver`s side floor board gets wet. Haven’t really been tried to figure out what is the problem. I feel it is one of 2 things. 1 is that I have actually seen a drop of water when it was raining outside seep through the windshield right in the area it does get wet. I read in a mdx forum where water does get through the body panel on driver`s side and has caused this problem for other Mdx owners. 7) Big crack on driver`s side of windshield. Will need to be replaced. 8) Passenger side headlight has moisture in It. I have set of aftermarket lightly smoked headlights (will look beautiful on this suv). If new owner wants them( not included at current price). 9) Has miscellaneous icons that are illuminated on the dash. The worst one is the check engine. Once that is fixed the vtm4 light will go away. 10) The trans works fine under most driving condition, however if you leave it in 5th gear over selected and then go around 40mph mdx will make a sputter sound. What we have done to prevent this problem is just use the none overdrive selection during around town driving. Then we just switch it to overdrive before going on interstate. Works fine doing it that way. We have been doing that way for 3 years without any hiccups. 11) I believe it needs a new ac fan clutch or possible ac compressor. The car doesn't have ac at the moment. 12) It does start and drive, however it will need to be towed. These are the known issues with the Mdx. I know it has a lot of issues, but it could be brought back to life with a little bit of love and elbow grease. Money is tight around the neighborhood so we need to sell our beloved Mdx.
