A nice low mileage 1972 Honda CL100S Scrambler. The "S" version was advertised as a "detuned" CL100 so it could be sold in certain states as 5 HP rather than the approximate 7.5 HP of the CL100. Many boys found out pretty quick from the Honda mechanics at the dealer's shop that the only difference was that the throttle valve was about a 1/4" taller than the CL100 and that limited how open the throttle could go. Most boys would go home, remove the throttle valve from the carb and hack saw off the top 1/4". Instant addition of about 2.5 HP ! This CL100S has spent most of its life in storage. It runs excellent, as you would expect with this low of mileage. The chrome has some rust flecks in several places. It could stand a better cleaning than I have given it. The left side cover, I think, has been repainted. I have no title so will give the buyer a bill of sale. I also have this bike for sale locally, so I reserve the right so end this auction early.
