Up for sale is my 1996 F-150 XLT standard cab longbed. Auto trans w/ overdrive. Four wheel drive with floor shifter. Auto locking hubs. 5.0L/302ci V8. I can't fix the issues (see below) myself, and the truck is an extra vehicle to our family. It should go to someone who appreciates these old Fords and can fix it up to get it back on the road. I priced this right in the middle of KBB's "fair" vehicle price range, but I'll entertain all reasonable offers. Both above average for its age. Minor wear marks to seats. No cracks in the dash. Low mileage (107,000). Dual fuel tanks. Everything works: 4wd engages perfectly and smoothly, cruise control, fuel tank switch, lumbar support switch, A/C, heat, etc. All gauges work. No check engine lights or other warning lights. 5.0L V8 runs out strong. Good brakes. BF Goodrich All Terrain KO tires with plenty of tread left. Factory alcoa wheels in good shape. The body has rock chips and dings, as this is a 22 year old vehicle. Glass is all good, and brightwork is in good shape for its age.Door corners, sills, cab corners, roof rails, bed are all in great condition with no rust. Within the last 8,000 miles, I replaced the serpentine belt/idler pulley, and the steering box and radius arm bushings. There is none of the infamous Ford play in the steering wheel. I added Monroe load adjusting rear shocks for extra support when towing/hauling. (Two-inch receiver hitch for towing)Older aftermarket MOSFET Pioneer CD/AM/FM head unit with four Pioneer speakers.The issues lie mostly out of sight. This truck came from Michigan and was undersprayed in the past. That is starting to wear off and there is surface rust on the frame and other components. NO ROT. Serious inquiries, contact me and I will send you all the pictures I have. I have many, many more.Issues:- to pass Virginia inspection, will need rear, driver's side leaf spring hanger replaced. It's rusted through.- both fuel tanks leak and will need to be patched underneath the straps or replaced altogether- drips a few drops of oil per week- when the transmission warms up, it shifts hard from 1st to 2nd, then doesn't stay in 3rd long enough, causing the 4th gear and O/D RPMs to run too low. I replaced both speed sensors (rear diff and transmission output), but did not fix the problem. When cold, it shifts normally. May be the solenoid pack. It does not slip, and downshifts when needed smooth as can be. I changed the fluid in the pan and drained the torque converter about 1,000 miles ago, and the fluid that came out looked brand new.
