Vehicle Detail
I bought this car about 3 years ago I paid a good buck for it because of the original condition of the car. Here is what it had done before I bought it. The original owner who said she was the second owner. Said she had the motor rebuilt at ricks in Indiana. She said they made the decision to keep the original block and have it rebuilt. She also had new 350 heads put on A four barrel intake and a four barrel carb. What I did to the motor. I put in a new heater core I pulled the motor did a complete gasket change new valve covers a Street demon 4 barrel carb, electronic ignition, New wires, mid length headers, and a dual exhaust with magnaflow stainless steel mufflers. Also most of the rubber and fuel parts. The trans is a 2 speed Automatic. ON THE BODY She told me she had the car painted the original color that is balero red. She told me the original owner told her it was kept in there garage since it was new and none of the original body parts where replaced and never saw a bit of rust. first off what she said was just about true. All the floor boards are original and un rusted the rear quarters are original and that is amazing. from what I found the only metal part replaced was the drivers side door. It was replaced with an original door from a blue car. As far as I can tell that is it. What I did. I had the car repainted because the paint she had done was not balero red it was off 2 shades. I had a nice paint job done 4 coats of color than 4 coats of clear than color sanded and another 4 coats of clear. I had almost all of the chrome replaced. I replaced almost all of the rubber. New carpet new door cards new radio one of the modern radios that looks original. The seats where in the car and look new. I replaced both door glass. The trunk is great and the top boot is in the trunk. There is no spare tier. The tires on the car have 800 miles on them the rims look great on the car. The tires look even better. I do have the original rims if you want them. The info plate shows it is a true RS and is # matching in every way with the exception of the motor I believe the block is original That is what the last owner told me but the shop decked the motor and that removed the #s so I have no way to prove it. The top is like new. BOTTOM OF CAR The bottom of the car had original undercoating on it I removed as much of it as I could and sprayed the frame with chassis black from eastwood. I did not spray over any rust there was none and still is none. Features original Rally stripe in front. Power steering. Center council. Seat belt holders. power top. RS front lights that open and close with the light switch. The back window in the top is plastic and dose have some heat marks in it. Some of the photos are from the summer others are from the day I listed the car. I sold this car 3 times last year on here. 1 guy just could not afford it. The next guy says his 5 year old daughter did it and the third person never even contacted me I got fed up and took the car of for 5 months. If I don't get a person to buy it AND PAY FOR IT this time I am keeping it I don't care what my wife says. I am going to start this car at a very low starting price so all can bid on it. No reserve. I have way more money in this car than I will ever get out of it but I don”t intend to give it away this is a fantastic car that you will enjoy for years to come. I will also be listing this car locally in a few days so I reserve the rite to sell it at anytime. Please copy and paste on the links below for video https://youtu.be/-UQ_nj6_P_w
