Final reduction and last time offered here on eBay. I may eventually list it on other car sites or just end up keeping it. The car is a beauty and a blast to drive. I don't really care if it sells...it's just that I currently have an abundance of vehicles. Reasonable offers will be considered (all others will be politely auto-declined.) Car is for also for sale locally so don't hesitate. Here is a VINTAGE, CLEAN and RARE 1998 Chevrolet (Geo) METRO LSi 3-door hatchback in Wildfire Red with ONLY 20,000 miles. View the pictures...they indeed tell a thousand words. Near immaculate showroom condition inside and out. These Geo/Chevy METROs have developed a cult-style following over the years and have become nearly impossible to find in GOOD shape, let alone in EXCEPTIONAL CONDITION with ULTRA LOW MILES like this one. You've seen the few of these that are for sale online with upwards of 300,000 miles on them, which should tell you a thing or two about the reliability of the Suzuki engines that are in these METROs. Excellent gas mileage and easy to PARK ANYWHERE! Produced by the Suzuki Motor Corporation (through a joint effort with General Motors) from 1989 through 2001. The first models were marketed under the now-defunct "GEO" brand name, then "CHEVY" from 1998 until discontinued. Early units were equipped with 3-cylinder engines. ALL final mechanical improvements that would be made to the METRO occurred with the 1998 models (a 4-cylinder, 16-valve, multiport fuel injection engine with electronic ignition, daytime running lights, composite halogen headlights, and dual front airbags were added.) There would be no more functional changes to the METRO except for colors and available models until it was discontinued in 2001. I even read somewhere that the 2001 models were only available as sedans and were sold ONLY to rental fleets. This vehicle happens to be the upgraded "LSi" version, which further includes color-keyed front and rear bumpers and a custom cloth interior upholstery with "Scotchgard Protector" for easy spill cleanup. It also comes equipped with air conditioning and optional automatic transmission. It starts up instantly, idles perfectly and drives like any car would with just 20k miles on it. NEW tires all around, and AWESOME SOUNDING factory speaker system. IMPORTANT NOTE: I recently titled this vehicle, and although the car has never been in an accident, it was pointed out by our local RMV (Registry of Motor Vehicles) that it recently passed through an "insurance auto auction" company prior to the dealer I purchased it from. Thus, they advised me that they had to title it as a "salvage/reconstruct." I tried to argue this otherwise, but I shouldn't have to tell you how inflexible RMV's can get. The dealer owner I purchased it from assured me that, to their knowledge, it never had any type of collision repair work done to it; and that they've purchased many vehicles from that same auction firm with clean/clear titles just like this one had. I also ran an AUTOCHECK record on it, and it indicates that everything is CLEAN and, in fact, scores an exceptional "63" rating (see photocopy.)
