1967 Ford Mustang 390 Big Block PROJECT from MustangBeginnings Up for auction is an original 1967 “S” Code Big Block 390 Ford Mustang Fastback body. When we first purchased this car, we didn’t know it came with so many original options. Please take a look at the Marti report attached. An original tach car with a console, fold down rear seat, etc. The car was an original White Fastback, with a Black interior. Obviously, this Mustang can be restored into an awesome Classic. Please take a look at some of the pictures at the end to see how stunning a White Mustang can be when fully restored. The good news is that, although the engine does not come with the car, we have 390 blocks and/or complete engines. Even though it came with an automatic originally, it isn’t hard to switch to a stick shift, if you want to go that route. This Mustang would be worth at least $40,000 to $50,000 when fully restored. .. BODY: This Mustang will need rust / body repair in the normal areas, floor pans, and doors, but the frame is straight and the quarters are in decent condition. Overall not that much is needed to get this Mustang body ready to paint. INTERIOR: The interior should be brought back to excellence. The good news is that you can see what is needed. You aren’t accepting someone else’s mistakes or bad repairs. The instrument panel is in good condition, not in the car currently, just dirty, but you will want a new dash pad. The seats will need recovering, but new covers are available to make the job much less costly. The door panels are missing, but you probably want new ones anyway. ENGINE BAY: Engine bay is in good condition, and just needs to be cleaned and painted. The shock towers have the welds to prove it is a real “S” code Mustang. GLASS: Windshield is cracked, but the rear window is not, and the door glass and the 1/4 side glass are all there MISC. The car is definitely a project, but it is a real Big Block Fastback and those are getting harder and harder to find., and we can help where you need our help. We can sell you any of the items you may need, like the engine and transmission (add $2,000), the 9” rear end (add $1,000). We do have a 6H24 390 Block which would be correct for this car, available separately. In addition, we are a Scott Drake dealer, and we can sell you new seat covers, new carpet Etc.
