96 RMW 103k DCM Up for sale is a 1996 Buick Roadmaster Estate Wagon with 103k two owner miles. Lifelong southern California car - nice solid body with no rust. Collectors Edition like every other 96 Buick Roadmaster. Boasting GMs Corvette inspired multiport injected 5.7L LT1 V8 engine and 4L60E 4 speed automatic transmission, she puts down plenty of power. Tow package with 2.93 limited slip rear end (GW9, G80 & V92 build codes). Trailer preparation "tow package" means the factory rated the car to pull 5000 lbs but has no hitch (despite trailer prep name, these did not come from the factory with hitches so all hitches are aftermarket.) Delivers consistent 16 in town and 24 highway at 70 mph. Car is in very nice shape with only very minor wear and blemishes. Clean history report with no accidents. Car available for showing in Mt. Pleasant after 6:30 pm weekdays or any time weekends by appointment. Condition Report ENGINE: Runs on all eight cylinders without smoking, missing or knocking. Engine runs at proper temperature. Good battery & good charging system. Newer starter. Starts easy and runs strong. TRANSMISSION: Performs beautifully. Engages gears quickly and shifts through all forward gears and reverse with good downshift and torque converter performance. Clean fluid with no burn odors. EXTERIOR: Body: Body is mostly straight and very solid. There is a small depression in the wood near the left tailight as seen in pics. Otherwise, no body issues. Way above average body. Paint: Paint is very nice for age. Very few minor nicks and scratches consistent with age. Hood is shiny but starting to show age. Still above average overall. Wood: Upper wood trim has been removed, painted, and reinstalled. The side panel fake wood is in great shape (still shiny, not faded) with a few minor nicks/scratches. Other: Lower stainless bright trim is very nice - the right right front door piece has a small depression I didnt notice until I took photos (I have a perfect one Ill included). Front bumper stainless trim is in great shape, and so is the fake chrome strip between the black and color. Rubber side trim is all there. Windshield has no cracks or chips - other glass is good. Undercarriage is extremely solid like youd expect of a California car - see the pics. Underhood sheet metal and tailgate sill and door jambs (areas where these cars tend to rust) are also nice as seen in pics. No rust behind the battery or under it. Aluminum wheels are in good shape. INTERIOR: Interior of the car is in nice shape consistent with miles. Dash has no cracks. Leather seating areas are in great shape, leather is nice, with only a very small wear spot on the drivers seat. Carpet in seating area and cargo deck are in nice shape but there is a mount for a phone in front and some wear where the heel hits the carpet when setting the parking brake. Headliner and sun visors are nice and not sagging - small tear in headliner near back as seen in pics. No smoke or pet odors. Very nice interior overall. ELECTRICAL STUFF: All inspection items work (lights, horn, wipers, etc.) Power options work reliably, including power windows, power locks, dual power seat, hot heat and cold A/C, tilt, cruise, am/fm stereo (I dont know if cassette works - dont have one to test,) power antenna, keyless entry, rear window release, rear wiper, twilight sentinel, intermittent wipers, and rear defroster. DRIVEABILITY: Drives out very nicely as youd expect of low miles. Steering is tight, alignment is dead on, suspension is tight. Brakes work well with new linings front, good linings rear. Tires are a matched set with about 90% tread remaining. Solid, quiet exhaust with no leaks. Check engine light is not lit (except at start up as it should.) No complaints - drive anywhere.
