2008 FORD EXPEDITION LIMITED EL This SUV has been a great vehicle for our family over the past 6 years, but we just purchased a new one so this one is available for the bidding. All the bells and whistles, navigation, 20" wheels, roof mount factory DVD player, voice recognition, heated seats, 2nd row captain chairs, back up camera in rear view mirror, keyless entry, sunroof, power running boards, towing package, etc., etc., etc. I believe this vehicle has all of the available factory options, with the exception of 4WD. Just under 150,000 miles. We just invested $2,000 into the engine. New spark plugs, new coils, new catalytic converter, new fuel filter, new air filter. Engine is running great. Everything else on the vehicle is in good working order with the exception of the following items: 1. Passenger side running board has been acting up. Sometimes it works, sometimes not.2. Windshield washer fluid does not spray. Could be clogged could be the motor/pump.3. The overdrive has been acting up. Gears 1, 2, and 3 work great, 4 and 5 have been jumpy and stutter at slower speeds, 6th gear works great on the highway or at higher speeds. This vehicle is a daily driver and I drive it to work every day. The tranny has been irregular for several months, but doesn't seem to be getting any worse. While I've been driving the vehicle every day, and believe you could continue to drive this way for a while, it will need transmission work sooner or later. Do it yourself or have a friend in the business, you're looking around $1,000. Have a shop do the rebuild and it will likely be double that amount. The asking price has been reduced accordingly.4. Tires will need to be replaced in the near future. The vehicle is not perfect, but overall it's in good condition and should last for many more miles.
