I purchased this R-350 in December 2008 as a Mercedes Certified Pre-Owned car with only 6,000 miles on it. I am only the second owner. As a father of four small children, I was looking for something that was both fun to drive and would fit the whole family - it was a small list, but this sleek people hauler fit the bill. Now the kids are headed off to college and it is time for me to move on to something smaller. I have seen dealers asking 2-3x my opening number for similar vehicles. My goal is for this great car to live on with a new family at a fair price. THE CAR IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION FOR A 9-YEAR-OLD CAR, BUT IT IS STILL A 9-YEAR OLD CAR. I am aiming for "no surprises" for the buyer, so here are the few areas the new owner might want to address: DVD Drive for the factory nav no longer works - I've always used my phone for nav, so it never bothered me. The parts (just DVD the drive or whole radio) is available, and my understanding is that it isn't too tricky to install. Search eBay for R-Class DVD Nav. Driver's power side view mirror is intermittent - sometimes it works as designed and sometimes not - the power fold feature works all the time. I am speculating it is a fairly simple problem to fix (loose connector etc.), but as the sole driver I set the mirror and never bothered to fix itIn 2015, my wife brushed up against a timber retaining wall while parallel parking, damaging the front bumper. The entire bumper was replaced by a MB certified collision shop at a cost of more than $4,000. An insurance claim was made, so any records that refer to an "accident" are referencing this That's it for issues, now on to the good stuff: OVERALL Everything works. No Check-Engine or any other dashboard lights. See below for common problems on these cars that have been addressed. This is simply a great car and I will miss it. INTERIOR Interior is in excellent condition - see pictures to see for yourself. Summer mats, factory black winter mats and tan WeatherTech winter mats includedMany auctions of R-Class cars list the interior as leather and most of them are WRONG. Very few (if any) R-350s shipped with leather in the US. The seats are MB-Tex - This is Mercedes' high-end synthetic leather that lasts much longer than real leather. After 9 years it still looks new!
