Up for your viewing is our SURVIVOR 1966 Caprice. This TIME CAPSOLE has 9,000 original documented miles!! Sold new on April 8th 1966 to Mrs. Jean Alt in Sandy, Oregon at Richardson Chevrolet, which later became Carlson Chevrolet and is currently Suburban Chevrolet. This car has an excellent history that is fully documented and retains its original Owner’s Manual, Protect-O-Plate, dealership packet and accessory brochure. The miles are documented with copies of older titles and certified mileage statements from the Chevrolet dealer. This 100% numbers matching 396/325 hp big block, turbo 400 automatic and 12 bolt posi-traction Caprice is a joy to drive. It is truly amazing to drive this car……….there are no squeaks or rattles. Its power is smooth and very noticeable when accelerating. I feel like its 1966 all over again when driving it. This car is well optioned with; power steering, power brakes, remote drivers side mirror, Delco AM radio, rear defroster, beige vinyl top, and full wheel covers with whitewall tires. The exterior is finished in its original color of Artesian Turquoise. All of the trim and brightwork is original and immaculate throughout. The vinyl top is also original and in great condition. Overall, the exterior of this car is fantastic. The interior is almost unbelievable….The materials are all still bright and soft. There is no wear and still smells fresh. The door panels, seats, carpet and headliner are like NEW! The dash is beautiful too. All of the gauges are crisp and work perfect. The dash pad is still soft and crack free. The switches and buttons all operate as if they were new. This dash is beautiful to look at and is perfect. The steering wheel has yellowed just a tad, but no splits. Its everything you would expect for 9,000 miles on the odometer. Under the hood is 100% original and untouched. No spray painting or detailing. Its just been carefully maintained and lightly cleaned. The engine sounds perfect and runs like new. Its very dependable and starts hot or cold just right every time. The transmission is smooth and like new. No leaks from either the engine or transmission. The undercarriage is clean and has been lightly detailed. It maintains all four of the original “spiral shocks”, exhaust system, multiple inspection and factory paint markings. The tires were replaced at some point with modern radials, but the spare is still an original Bias Ply white wall. Inside the trunk is the original jack items, spare, and mat that are untouched and in place. If you are looking for a fantastic SURVIVOR big block Caprice then look no further.
