I am the third owner and bought the car at 50K miles. It was used as my daily driver but I took excellent care of it because I'm clean and really like cars. This VW has the 2.5L engine that isn't susceptible to problems that the 2.0T VWs have and runs on a timing chain instead of a timing belt thus requiring no expensive changing of a timing belt. The SE trim is the mid-level trim, featuring leatherette seats (as opposed to cloth), premium audio, sunroof, alloy wheels, Bluetooth phone call capabilities and heated front seats. Condition of the car:- Exterior is in excellent shape for a car with this many miles. Shiny, clean, no chips in any of the metal body panels. Free of dents. Small (2 centimeter) scratch on the back plastic bumper. Hardly noticeable.- Interior is in excellent shape. All switches, knobs, etc. operate as they should. All seats are in great shape with exception of some minor wear on the driver's seat which you can see in the photos. -Mechanically, the vehicle is in excellent shape and got a clean bill of health from a trusted mechanic in Studio City called Ocean Volkswagen (5-Stars on Yelp). Last service done there was in October and included the transmission service ($700+ but necessary to avoid transmission failure), replacement of the rotors + pads for the brakes, and an OEM oil change. All-in-all, a $1400 trip last time to the mechanic but it's maintenance that will extend the life of the car. The transmission shouldn't need servicing for another 75K miles. The next service needed is an oil change in 6K miles. No major scheduled service is needed anytime soon. Vehicle maintenance records will be included with sale. Registration renewed this January so you wont have to pay registration for an entire year. On the condition of the car, I have included in the photos an assessment done on January 17th by certified appraisers at CarMax indicating that the vehicle is in good condition. This vehicle is a really good deal for someone that wants an affordable used car that still has good styling, a clean and modern-looking interior, and reliability for many miles ahead.
