Vehicle Detail
True Rubicon with front and rear air actuated locking Dana 44 axles, Rock-Trac NV241 4:1 transfer case, 16" Rubicon wheels. It is the real deal, with the "6" in the 6th place of the VIN as it should be. I purchased this in January of 2017, it was 100% original, except for the Poison Spyder hood vent. It looked like it had never been off-road. I installed a 2.5" Rough Country COMPLETE long arm suspension kit, which comes with arms, springs, shocks, sway bar disconnects, brake lines, steering stabilizer, etc. I had it professionally aligned, and drives/steers/stops absolutely perfectly straight. I think it drives and rides better than stock, plus I'm sure the flex is amazing... though it hasn't seen dirt since. Since it's a long arm, the lift can be easily increased to 4" or whatever, with minimal cost. New complete Bestop Trektop NX, 56821-35, May of 2017. New exhaust from manifold back, including all converters (the front half is off the shelf with converters @ $525, and the rest of the exhaust(2.5")/muffler were built by an exhaust shop. I chose to have it exit before the rear tire, so it would be more simple. "Flowsound" muffler, which has a nice tone, but not too loud. New Interstate green top battery March 2017 When I purchased it, I removed both differential covers, re-sealed, and filled with the correct gear lube. (I always do that when I buy a used vehicle) New correct grade OE plugs. I replaced front calipers, rear calipers, rear disc, and rear pads. Just for the heck of it, I replaced the master cylinder since it was all apart. The fluid looks 100% new. The rear brakes were a full kit of disc, calipers, and pads from "POWERSTOP". The front calipers were wearever/something from the local parts store. Transmission completely rebuilt July 2017, 12 month warranty with local shop. Draw-Tite 2" hitch receiver with 4 pin flat connector. I installed a winch plate, and had a winch on it... but took the winch off when I bought my 4Runner. I still have the original plastic valance for the front, it can be easily re-installed/winch plate removed. AC, heat, cruise, etc all work exactly as they should, no issues... and I'm surprised at how well the AC cools. Paint appears to be original. The dealership that I bought it from said they bought it auction, the top (the old one, not the one on it now) was lying in the Jeep, and it was wet.... they drove it 2.5 hours to their dealership with no problems, they then serviced it, and put it on their lot. I'm guessing it was rained in/maybe wouldn't start or something, was borderline insurance fraud. It does not appear to have been in an accident. The title does state water damage, and says "total loss claim" on it. Behind the dash, underneath, crevices, etc.... show no signs of water infiltration or submersion, and I have had no issues or weird things happen with the Jeep. I purchased the Jeep with intentions of keeping it forever... but I've had a few "1st generation" 4Runners, I guess I missed having one, I've already replaced it with two of those. Disclaimers: Has a small small dent on the front of the hood. The previous owner apparently had metal light mounts on the windshield hinges, and on the front of the hood, there is corrosion stains left from those (the dealer that I bought from said they took them off). Has a small small amount of oil that is usually drop-sized on the bottom bell housing, but it is usually not enough to drip on the garage/driveway, and it is not enough to sling back on the transmission. Most owners wouldn't notice it, but I've been under it, assessing condition, etc. It's always been in the Va Beach area, and it does have some surface corrosion on the frame, bolts underneath, etc.... but no scale, not as much corrosion as a vehicle that has been exposed to salt. Has black paint over-spray on the passenger side rear behind the wheel well. I had forgotten about it until I saw the picture up on eBay, it doesn't show up near as much in person as it does in that picture! I haven't tried to buff/wax, but I feel sure it can removed. I assume it was from when the interior was coated/painted. I live less than an hour from the Charlotte airport, I can bring the Jeep there, or it can be picked up at my house, etc. I've bought/sold a few vehicles on eBay, I know how to properly disclose any damage, and I'll make sure that both parties are comfortable with the relatively big $ transaction.
