Vehicle Detail

This is a beautifully restored 1972 Honda CT70K1 with a clean WI title in my name (titled as a 73 because that’s when it was originally purchased). I’ve restored numerous CT70’s and other vintage Hondas. Incredible attention to all the small details go into my restorations and you can see my CT70 restorations in the soon to be released "Honda 70 Enthusiast's Guide" being released in January. Many OEM Honda NOS parts were used along with a few aftermarket parts from CHP (Classic Honda Parts), who are well known in the industry for their quality. There’s a lot that sets this apart from other restored CT70’s I’ve seen on eBay. The pictures tell the story. Frame # CT70-2045240, engine # CT70E-244629, which is the original engine to this bike. The numbers were never an exact match on these bikes. This CT70 was completely disassembled and repainted by Artistimo Custom Design. The Candy Ruby Red is a perfect match. ALL of the proper decals were applied and clear coated over. The engine was completely torn down and fully rebuilt by a well known CT70 engine builder. Following the rebuild it was test run and then drained. The flywheel cover and transmission cover were powder coated to match the original Honda Cloud Silver. The engine is a work of art in itself. All of the original OEM hardware was stripped and zinc plated. The carburetor was disassembled, cleaned, and rebuilt by Mike’s MiniTrails. A new OEM air box was installed, along with new OEM fuel lines and a new OEM fuel tank. Since it was reassembled this bike has been set up for display so the fuel tank, fuel lines and carb have never seen a drop of fuel. The rear shocks are original, NOT aftermarket. They were disassembled and refinished, and the lowers were clear coated. The front forks were completely disassembled as well. The fork lowers were refinished and also received the same clear coat. The wheels and hubs were powder coated as well. Brand new tubes and Bridgestone Trail Wing tires were mounted. New wheel bearings were installed. The foot peg assembly, kick stand, gas tank cover, seat bracket, and headlight bucket were all powder coated in gloss black. The battery box was zinc plated and a NOS battery cover and strap were installed. The seat latch was also zinc plated. The front and rear fenders are new Honda OEM parts. The handlebars, triple tree plate, brake pedal, and tail light bracket are ALL OEM parts that were stripped and re-chromed. The handle bar mount was polished to a near mirror finish. The engine guard and spark plug guard are new CHP parts. The exhaust is a NOS original OEM part. The lower heat shields are NOS OEM. The upper heat shield is a CHP part. The seat is a high quality reproduction. The speedometer was completely disassembled, cleaned, and reset to zero miles. The housing was also powder coated. The headlight bucket was powder coated and the trim ring was re chromed. All cables were replaced with CHP reproduction cables and a new CHP reproduction wiring harness was used. The detail on this is amazing, right down to the Honda OEM frame plugs on the right side of the frame. The holes in the frame are for mounting a grab handle, but the grab handle was not standard on US bikes. I’m sure I’ve failed to mention all of the NOS parts used but the pictures truly tell the story of this. Once it was finished, this bike has been on display in my den. I have over 10 years of 100% positive feedback. Bike is available for local pick up. Shipping is the buyer’s responsibility, and I will work with the buyer and shipper.
