96 RMW 54k LDM Ltd Up for bid is a 1996 Buick Roadmaster Limited Estate Wagon with 54k two owner miles. Lifelong southern car - no rust. Collectors Edition like every other 96 Buick Roadmaster. Same owner since 99 with 33k miles. Boasting GMs Corvette inspired multiport injected 5.7L LT1 V8 engine and 4L60E 4 speed automatic transmission, she puts down plenty of power. Tow package with 2.93 open rear end (GW9 & V92 build codes). Trailer preparation "tow package" means the factory rated the car to pull 5000 lbs but has no hitch (despite trailer prep name, these did not come from the factory with hitches so all hitches are aftermarket.) Delivers consistent 16 in town and 24 highway at 70 mph. Car is in very nice shape with only very minor wear and blemishes. Clean history reports with no accidents. Car available for showing in Mt. Pleasant after 6:30 pm weekdays or any time weekends by appointment. Condition Report ENGINE: Runs on all eight cylinders without smoking, missing or knocking. Engine runs at proper temperature. Good battery & good charging system. Newer radiator and fuel pump. Starts easy and runs strong. TRANSMISSION: Performs beautifully. Engages gears quickly and shifts through all forward gears and reverse with good downshift and torque converter performance. Clean fluid with no burn odors. EXTERIOR:Body: Body is exceptionally straight and solid. Very straight down the sides with NO rust. There is a very small depression (hard to call it a dent) thats barely visible on the hood near the windshield. Otherwise, no body issues. Way above average body. Paint: Paint is very nice for age. Minor nicks and scratches consistent with age and miles which are photographed. Also way above average. Wood: Upper wood trim has been removed, painted, and reinstalled. The side panel fake wood is in great shape (still shiny, not faded) with a few minor nicks/scratches like the one pictured near the gas door. Other: Lower stainless bright trim is very nice - the right rear quarter piece and right front door piece have very small dings if you look closely. Front bumper stainless trim is in great shape, and so is the fake chrome strip between the black and color. Rubber side trim is all there. Windshield has no cracks but is delaminating like all these original Sungate windshields do over time. Undercarriage is extremely solid with only minor surface rust like youd expect of a southern car - see the pics. Underhood sheet metal and tailgate sill and door jambs (areas where these cars tend to rust) are also nice as seen in pics. No rust behind the battery or under it. Aluminum wheels are in good shape - the left front has some clear peel but the others are very nice. INTERIOR: Interior of the car is very nice and reflective of miles. Dash has no cracks and is still shiny. Leather seating areas are in great shape, leather is still soft, with only a very small wear spot (NOT a tear) on the drivers seat near the lumbar. Carpet in seating area and cargo deck are in very nice shape. Has all four original floormats. Headliner and sun visors are nice and not sagging. Steering wheel is in nice shape. No smoke or pet odors. Very nice interior overall. Note that I have the buttons for the lumbar controls that are missing in pics. ELECTRICAL STUFF: All inspection items work (lights, horn, wipers, etc.) Power options work reliably, including power windows, power locks, dual power seats with power recliners and power lumbar control, hot heat and cold A/C, tilt, cruise, am/fm stereo cassette, power antenna, keyless entry, rear window release, rear wiper, twilight sentinel, intermittent wipers, and rear defroster. DRIVEABILITY: Drives out very nicely as youd expect of low miles. Steering is tight, alignment is dead on, suspension is tight. Brakes work well with new linings all around. Tires are Michelin X tires that still have tread, but if you know those tires, they were discontinued in 2003, so they are old and should be replaced soon. Solid, quiet exhaust with no leaks. Check engine light is not lit (except at start up as it should.) No complaints - drive anywhere. Short version terms: Small non-refundable deposit as listed (but fast) by Paypal within 24 hours.
