Off the top this is not an AC Cobra or Shelby Cobra but an Aurora. Selling due to business reasons, if I raise the cash somewhere else before this car sells I will cancel the auction. The Aurora was a factory built vehicle with new components. a Ford Motor Company powertrain warranty and most Auroras sold through selected Ford dealerships. It met all the federal regulations including crash testing when new. This car has 17,500 miles and still has the original paint which is in very good condition as you can see from the photos. Seats are Connolly leather with minor wear. Carpets are Wilton and leather trimmed with minor wear. Instruments are all Smiths. The car is equipped with a heater and AC but the AC is not working, have not looked at why. There is quite a bit of information on the internet about these cars if you want to know more. -5.0 Ford HO, 5 speed manual transmission, Salisbury (Jaguar) rear end with inboard disc brakes. -16 inch Dayton wire wheels with 205 Pirelli tires. The wheels are new and are true knock offs with spinners. -Roof, tonneau cover (new), side windows with factory storage case , wind wings etc. all excellent -door panels and dash are leather covered -power antenna -Roll bar is removable, all the chrome is in great condition, windshield was replaced 10 years ago -Alpine stereo with remote -engine compartment all lined in riveted aluminum including rear side of hood -carpeted trunk with remote lock -body is fiberglass - body was splashed from an original early AC Cobra -as clean underneath as on top -car has been thoroughly serviced including new ignition, plugs, wires, cap, carb rebuilt, filters, brake fluid flush, cooling flush, brakes done etc. -fuel gauge not registering which probably means a float since the car was in heated indoor storage with tank drained for past 7 years -will provide either Prototipo or replica wood wheel with the car, both shown in photos -this is not a kit car and any specific questions on chassis etc I can answer, I have had 4 of these over the years as well as several other "kits" but keep coming back to these as the build quality is amazing and they are fast tight cars. The car was meant to be an update of the original car that would meet all federal requirements that any other car from GM, Ford etc were required to meet, it did. -first owner had it 25 years (as well as an original car), second for 6 years and had it stored all that time.
