The La Grange (Cook County) Illinois Police Department is offering the following vehicle for sale through eBay auction: 2008 Silver Ford Explorer, 4 X 4, 4.0L V6 with 62,936 miles THIS IS A VILLAGE-OWNED VEHICLE THAT WAS USED BY THE DIRECTOR OF OUR PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT (ADMINISTRATIVE VEHICLE). THE VEHICLE MUST BE SOLD ACCORDING TO ILLINOIS LAW; IT MUST BE SOLD IN AN AUCTION-TYPE SETTING SUCH AS EBAY. THERE IS NO BUY-IT-NOW OPTION. WE WILL NOT ACCEPT ANY TRADES FOR THIS VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE IS BEING SOLD AS IS ANY WITH NO EXISTING WARRANTY; NEITHER EXPRESS NOR IMPLIED. ALL SALES ARE FINAL. NO PRICE ADJUSTMENTS WILL BE GIVEN. NO RETURNS WILL BE ACCEPTED. There are only normal wear-n-tear scratches, dings, dents around the vehicle-no damage.3. The vehicle has a low original mileage of 62,936 miles.4. The vehicle is 4 X 4, is a 4-door vehicle, has front cloth bucket seating, middle cloth bench seating, and rear 3rd row cloth bucket seating.5. The vehicle has a roof rack, sun roof (does not leak), running boards, and tow/hitch package.6. The vehicle has automatic transmission and uses gasoline.7. The vehicle has lighted mirrors, cup holders throughout, center console storage, adj. head rests, tilt steering wheel, spare tire/jack, and alloy wheels.8. The vehicle has a back-up sensor, power doors, power locks, power mirrors (manual folding), and power driver's seat all in working order.9. The vehicle has an AM/FM stereo with a CD player, is Blue Tooth ready, has a USB port in the center console, and 12V ports (2).10. The vehicle has cruise control with controls on steering wheel, stereo controls on steering wheel, and Blue Tooth controls on steering wheel.11. The vehicle has lighted mirror visors (driver and passenger), lighted glove box, and comes with a vehicle manual.12. The vehicle has keyless entry w/remote, comes with 2 car fobs and 2 remote start fobs.13. The vehicle has a keyless entry pad, traction control, and overdrive.14. All lights, lamps, signals, wipers, and horn are in good working order.15. There are no warning signs illuminated on the dash.16. The vehicle has air conditioning, but will need work. Blower/fan motor work, but not cold. Air conditioning may be more than just a recharge-this will need to be checked and repaired.17. The vehicle runs, starts, operates well with no known mechanical, electrical, or other issues!18. The vehicle was maintained by our village mechanic the life of the vehicle. 19. There are no open recalls on this vehicle that we are aware of. NEGATIVES:1. Again, the air conditioning will need to be looked at/repaired. The fan/blower work, however, air does not get cool. It may be more than just a recharge.2. There are normal signs of wear-n-tear around the vehicle; scratches, minor dings, minor imperfections.3. There is a decorative button cap/plate missing from the front dashboard-see photograph.4. There is some glue residue on the dashboard from an accessory that was attached/removed.5. The vehicle will need to be cleaned inside/out and/or detailed.6. As with all of our vehicles for sale, we always recommend an oil change, other fluid changes, tune up, and check the brakes. Again, everything appears to be fine, but we always recommend you check these routine maintenance items.
