Vehicle Detail
1994 Porsche 968 6 spd White on Black 3 owner car. This car is an honest 968 I purchased approx. 2 years ago in order to get into DE events, however that never materialized. Lots of maintenance completed. This is a nice looking car but is not a show car. This is not a 968CS. It is just badged that way. Pros This car is runs well, it is easily the quickest NA 944, 968 I have driven. 82k miles original window sticker New tires-Hankook RS3 tires (200 treadwear) New front sway bar bushings (polyurethane) with front sway bar stiffeners New waterpump, timing belt, and rollers Rebuilt power steering pump Clean inside and out Brey Krause Harness Bar with D/S harness Stainless braided clutch hose from clutch master to new clutch slave cylinder. New Vario cam nylon guides with new chain and a good used intake camshaft. Previous cam had broken teeth which is a real common problem on these vehicles. (it is well documented) Cons Sunroof looks faded on the rear edge from polishing small rip in driver side seat bottom. needs p/s rear hatch molding. Hatch starting to Delaminate and needs adjustment to open properly needs front batwing small oil leak.- leaves a few drops on the garage floor after a drive. Paint looks really good when cleaned up but this is not a show car. Previous buyer backed out because of paint concerns. Note: If this car had near perfect paint with 82k this would be a 13-15k dollar car. Please be serious when you bid on this car. The D/S front fender and D/S front door have made light contact from a possible hyperextension at some point in the cars life. No major damage. Repairs were made but they were not absolutely perfect. A magnet sticks everywhere on this car. This was an old repair. I am just being honest about the D/S door. 1st gear synchro is not the best, you have to be going slow when downshifting into 1st when rolling. However you really shouldn't be downshifting into 1st rolling in any car.... Shifting up is no problem at all. No grinds shifting up, smooth shifting, car stays in gear and gearbox is otherwise tight. New Swepco gear oil may do the trick... Note: I am trying to be honest selling this car. It needs a little TLC but is overall a decent example without a million miles. Car is for sale local and I reserve the right to end auction within 24 hours of auction end date. 500 dollar non refundable down payment due immediately at time of winning auction bid.
