*** Toyota 4Runner Parts Listing*** ABOUT KHE: Hi All, Welcome to our ENDLESS supply of TREASURES up for sale. Be sure to add us at KHE to your favorites and come back often to see what new & interesting items we found this month. Well this is a little different for us.. auto parts. We are tearing down a 1997 4Runner, after 10 years as our 2nd car, We used it for hauling all those treasures we sell here, hate to see it go but it needs too much to consider repairing, so we will tear it down piece by piece until we are left with a rolling chassis & engine. In the end we hope someone out there will want the tires, wheels, outer doors & engine.. all in pretty good shape... we'll tell you more below about this vehicle. If there is something you want ASK... we are tearing down parts to sell on eBay, very random process with an automobile. Some parts will be local pickup ONLY, others we can ship. We will NOT remove any parts that keep this SUV from being able to be started & driven onto a flatbed for transport.. don't ask. If you want more pictures, please ask. All of our listings are run the same way: What you see is what we will send, ALL SALES ARE FINAL & NO RETURNS. VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: 1997 Toyota 4Runner SR5, 4WD, 162K mi, Limited Trim Pkg. w/about 65 parts we will remove for recycling resale on eBay. This SUV starts & runs well but does have some issues we will list here: 1) No Heat or A/C, (heater core/compressor) 2) Low Pressure Power Steering Hose BAD, 3) One or Two Brake Lines BAD, 4) Rear Door is NO GOOD 5) Windshield Leaks top by driver (rust). 6) 4WD indicator not showing when engaged Now I will tell you stuff that's been repaired / replaced: 1) Engine runs well, starts easy, maintained at regular recommended intervals 2) Only 162K miles and strong running V6, half the mileage it should have for 20 years old 3) Timing belts & Radiator have < 30K, 4) Front & Rear Shocks / Struts have < 5K, 5) 4 newer tires w/less than <15K, put on car in 2013/2014 6) Brake pads are good, exhaust too, 7) Has a nice Reese Hitch Receiver (wiring has been removed & no insert ) This SUV is mechanically better than it looks, I drove it the last 4 years in Upstate NY winters with the heater the way it is, It will give enough heat to defrost on the days above 32F, below that it's a car only for the hearty soul I use Low Gear to downshift which helps get it around now... brakes will stop if rolling slow enough. Most everything that can be unbolted INSIDE the car will be GONE. Your buying a great motor w/167K, exterior main parts like doors, fenders will most likely be left. We are also including the two LARGE cargo area side panels as well as the rubber floor liner... too large for us to ship otherwise. Added photos of the inside.. pretty much gutted but a GREAT start for a rock climber conversion. Left ALL Dash, Window Switches, Heater Controls, Radio, Shift Knobs & Driver's seat.. NO DRIVERS SEAT BELT. We will be leaving easily removed parts (lamps, grill etc) on the front end for a few weeks, as well as the entire sunroof mechanism.. after that it's likely they are going up as separate listings. Anything we are selling will described below in as much detail as we can provide, we suggest you review the photos. We do have a small amount of NEW parts that were spares for this SUV, those will sell first as they are in-hand. If you are interested in multiple parts we will discount shipping on your invoice, if you intend to wait and buy more parts.. let us know. We try to ship in 1 day, always. ITEM DESCRIPTION: This listing is for the 1997 Toyota 4Runner SR5 / Limited as SHOWN in the pictures of this listing in the shown condition. The car is in the process of being recycled after many great years hauling our eBay treasures around town. We will take any offers, anytime, and earlier only means MORE parts for you. CLEAN TITLE We are going to tear this SUV down, sell off the parts as we get them off the car on eBay. Whats' expected to be left: Outer body parts (larger ones), Windows/Windshield, Motor &Transmission, Wheels/Tires.. throwing in the rear rubber mat too & cargo area side panels. You can check our listings, make offers and specify what other parts you want thrown in.. we are looking to get this moved.. time to deal. The SUV does need brakes, but is drive-able remember that when thinking about your purchase. It can be driven onto a hauler or winched, it will stop if going slow enough.. and using low gear I tried the 4WD as it worked last winter but cant get the dash indicator to show it changed. This model year relied on a Vacuum Switch for 4WD which was replaced about 4 years ago. 4WD can be manually locked in from what I see on the internet. It may need to be checked, slight vacuum leak can also be the cause. It worked great last winter in both L & H 4WD, shifts in but indicator doesn't light. Seemed like low 4WD kicked in, creeper mode can higher RPM with nice slow crawl. We used Low 4wd to get this around the property w/no brakes... she will stop if going slow, brakes still hold at idle speed in F & R Read the Vehicle Description above for more... we have more pictures of CURRENT condition so ASK for MORE PICS if needed.. be SPECIFIC please on what you want to see in those pictures Check out my other items! We have most of the interior parts for this one listed, many more to follow and they are starting to sell now. If you want this SUV, and would like to have a few other parts included time is ticking.. front seat belt for Driver's side is GONE... these late 1990s 4Runners make the BEST Rock Climber starters so sure most of the parts we list will sell Be sure to add me to your favorites list
