1974 Honda CL 125S Motorcycle. Florida State University theme 2400 miles on original bike. Completely rebuilt, by a former Honda mechanic owner. Frame up rebuild. No short cuts as I planned to keep this bike. Stripped frame, sandblasted, primed, painted and clear coated. Same with all parts, housings, brackets etc. Aluminum polished. Clear Florida Title. Stored inside.Most parts are new, including engine, Michelin tires, fenders, shocks, all seals & gaskets, bearings, ignition, headlight & turn signals (after market), Head & Tail lights bright LED’s most cables, wiring harness, clutch & brake levers, brakes, and more. I used OEM parts where available. Forks rebuilt. I put a CB type horizontal exhaust on it, because I didn’t care for that original upswept pipe heat next to my leg. About the only part that’s not rebuilt is the seat, which is quite serviceable with a small cut on the front side right near the tank, repaired with tape. Florida State Univ. Seminoles tank paint theme. (my alma mater :) Just in time for football season. But tank can be redone easily. It’s done in automotive basecoat clearcoat (over self etching primer) and inside sealed with Caswell Dragons blood. No bondo in tank, new fuel valve, & cap. Carb rebuilt. Runs great & starts easy shifts & rides smooth though I haven't had it to speed yet. Lots of power for a 125. Still in break in. Not yet over 45 mph since rebuild <20 miles. I had fun building it. Time to start another project. I built it to keep for myself, but I’m getting too old to ride motorcycles (so my wife says :). I never hooked up the low beam light switch, as I didn’t plan to ride it at night. Has an after market switch with that feature. Also aftermarket light switch, horn and turn signals combination. The only thing that doesn’t work is the turn flasher. The turn signal switch works, I just flick it a couple times to signal a turn. Have many spares and extras, including a set of knobby tires, and have most of the original emblems etc. Factory service Manuals on disc also. Over 3K invested. And 6 months work.A fun bike that is ready to go for another 40 years.
