96 MAB 111k Up for bid is a 1996 Buick Roadmaster Limited Estate Wagon with 111k two owner miles. Collectors Edition like every other 96 Buick Roadmaster. Same owner since 99 with 33k miles. Boasting GMs Corvette inspired multiport injected 5.7L LT1 V8 engine and 4L60E 4 speed automatic transmission, she puts down plenty of power. Tow package 2.93 limited slip rear end (GW9 & G80 build codes). Trailer preparation "tow package" means the factory rated the car to pull 5000 lbs but has no hitch (despite trailer prep name, these did not come from the factory with hitches so all hitches are aftermarket.) This wagon has a very light duty hitch installed. Delivers consistent 16 in town and 24 highway at 70 mph. Relatively rare color/options combo - only 27 Medium Adriatic Blue 96 Buick wagons with tan Limited leather and posi were built. Car is in nice shape but not perfect. Condition Report ENGINE: Runs on all eight cylinders without smoking, missing or knocking. Engine runs at proper temperature. Newer battery & good charging system. Starts easy and runs strong. TRANSMISSION: Performs beautifully. Engages gears quickly and shifts through all forward gears and reverse with good downshift and torque converter performance. Clean fluid with no burn odors. EXTERIOR:Body: Body is exceptionally straight and solid. Very straight down the sides with NO rust. Very small dent low on right front door as seen in pictures, and a wrinkle in the tailgate mostly hidden by the woodgrain. Otherwise, no issues. Above average body. Paint: Paint is very nice for age. Minor nicks and scratches consistent with age and miles. Above average. Wood: Upper wood trim has been removed, painted, and reinstalled. The side panel fake wood is in great shape (still shiny, not faded) with a few minor nicks/scratches like those pictured. Other: Lower stainless bright trim is very nice a few dings. Front bumper stainless trim has a small ding on the passenger side. Rubber side trim is all there. Windshield has two rock chips low and all other glass. Original Sungate windshield. Undercarriage is extremely solid with only minor surface rust - see the pics. Underhood sheet metal and tailgate sill and door jambs (areas where these cars tend to rust) are also nice as seen in pics. Aluminum wheels are in good shape - some have a little curb rash and wheel weight marks. INTERIOR: Interior of the car is very nice and reflective of miles. Dash has no cracks and is still shiny. Leather seating areas are in great shape, leather is still soft, some wear on drivers seat and a couple small scratches on other seats as seen in pics. Carpet in seating area is nice, cargo deck carpet in excellent shape. Headliner has some tears as seen in pics. Steering wheel is in nice shape. No smoke or pet odors. Very nice interior overall. ELECTRICAL STUFF: All inspection items work (lights, horn, wipers, etc.) Power options work reliably, including power windows, power locks, dual power seats with power recliners and power lumbar control, hot heat and cold A/C, tilt, cruise, am/fm stereo cassette, keyless entry, rear window release, rear wiper, twilight sentinel, intermittent wipers, and rear defroster. It has heated seats, but its 90 degrees here and I cant tell if the heaters work, so please assume that they do not. Level ride does work! DRIVEABILITY: Drives out very nicely as youd expect of low miles. Steering is tight, alignment is dead on, suspension is tight. Brakes work well with good linings all around. Tires have about 70% tread remaining on a matched set of good quality radials. Solid, quiet exhaust with no leaks. Check engine light is not lit (except at start up as it should.)
