Vehicle Detail

Untitled Document 1970 Triumph T100C Trophy 500 - VIN #DD48395 Jack Pine Cycle is proud to present this outstanding original survivor 1970 T100C Trophy 500. As we regularly restore Triumph motorcycles to award-winning factory-original concours condition, we have a special love and appreciation for original examples such as this. They're arguably rarer than restored bikes, and this patina cannot be duplicated. We see "original" machines offered for sale regularly. Unfortunately, they've often been chopped, bobbed, and repainted, and include components from different years or different manufacturers. This 1970 Trophy is the real deal. Features include: - Original dent and leak-free fuel tank in Jacaranda Purple and Silver Sheen with hand-striped gold pinstripe and factory-original badges. - Original seat including factory logo. There are no tears, holes, or stains in the cover, the seat foam is in great condition, and the yellow-hued chrome trim is defect-free. - Factory wide-ratio gearbox as indicated by the "WR" stamp on the inner gearbox cover. - Factory Dunlop Trials Universal tires. They are aged and cracked, but very original. - Silver-painted cylinder barrels, which are a great indicator as to originality. They were silver from the factory, and on just about every example we see, they've been repainted black over 40+ years. - Original undershield, which is typically missing or heavily damaged on these machines. - Original Gran Turismo grips in perfect condition. - Original bakelite Champion WC548 spark plug caps. - Original Wilmot-Breeden lockset. In addition to its oustanding originality, this machine is in perfect running order. These bikes are meant to be ridden - this is no exception, and this is not a showpiece. It's ready for action. We've carried out the following work: - Complete carburetor disassembly, cleaning, reassembly and adjustment. - Oil change using Castrol 4T high performance oil as recommended by John Healy. - Complete electrical inspection, including points and condensers. Everyting including the horn is in working order. - Rebult Smiths speedometer, and new speedomoter cable. - Reapplied correct waterslide decals throughout. - Exacting timing and valve adjustment. - New petcocks, fuel line assembly, footpeg rubbers, kickstart and shift rubbers. - Detailed cleaning & polish. Bill Baird and many others have called the T100C "The finest motorcycle Triumph ever made". This very original example will certainly bring its next owner many years of reliable and enjoyable service. The bike comes with a clean Michigan title.
