Vehicle Detail

96 RMW 144k MAB Up for offer is a 1996 Buick Roadmaster Estate Wagon with 144k one North Carolina owner miles in Medium Adriatic Blue. Collector's Edition like EVERY 96 Roadmaster. Loaded up with power everything. Boasting GM's Corvette inspired multiport injected 5.7L LT1 V8 engine and 4L60E 4 speed automatic transmission, she puts down plenty of power. Base 2.56 gears; open rear end, rated for 3000 lbs. towing. Delivers consistent 16 in town and 24 highway at 70 mph. Clean history - send me your email address and I'll send you the history report. Nice overall, original paint, no issues. Runs and drives great - drive anywhere. Questions? Click "ask seller a question" or call Fred at 315-246-0612. Please allow time for a response as I work 8-5 at a regular job in Charleston. Car available for showing in Mt. Pleasant after 6:30 pm weekdays or any time weekends by appointment. Condition Report ENGINE: Runs on all eight cylinders without smoking, missing or knocking. Engine runs at proper temperature. Good battery & charging system. Starts easy and runs strong. TRANSMISSION: Performs as designed. Engages gears quickly and shifts through all forward gears and reverse with good downshift and torque converter performance. Clean fluid with no burn odors. EXTERIOR: Body: Body is exceptionally nice. No dents, no rust or bondo. Way above average. Paint: Paint is very nice - the only complaint is a scratch low on the right rear quarterpanel. Above average also. Wood: Upper wood trim was removed, painted tan and reinstalled so it won't peel like most do at this age. The side panel fake wood is in good shape - all shiny with no fading, but has several small chips in the same area on the left rear door from the car parked next to it in the garage, and a scratch on the right rear quarterpanel that's been touched up. Other: Lower stainless bright trim is very nice. Rubber side trim is all there. Windshield has a star low on the driver's side; all other glass is good with no chips or cracks. Undercarriage is beautiful - no rust as seen in pics. Underhood sheet metal, wheelhouses, tailgate sill and door jambs have no rust either as seen in pics. Aluminum wheels are in very nice shape. INTERIOR: Interior is nice. Dash has no cracks. Driver's door panel has a crack; others are good. Cloth seating areas are in good shape and clean. Carpet in seating area is good with a some staining outboard near front doors. Headliner is in nice shape with one small tear in the back, and starting to shrink near cargo windows but still looks nice. Cargo area carpeting is clean, and third seat area is, too. ** Last two pics are of a set of correct 96 Roadmaster wagon leather seats I have out of a northern car with 121k miles. They are in nice shape with minor wear on driver's seat. If you prefer leather, you can have them for FREE (you install) or you can pay my mechanic to install ($150.) ELECTRICAL STUFF: All inspection items work (lights, horn, wipers, etc.) ALL power options work reliably, including power windows, power locks, dual power seats, hot heat and cold A/C, tilt, cruise, am/fm stereo cassette, keyless entry, rear window release, rear wiper, twilight sentinel, intermittent wipers, and rear defroster. DRIVEABILITY: Drives out great. Steering is tight, alignment is good, and suspension is tight. Brakes work well with good linings. Tires have about 60% tread remaining on a matched set of good quality Hankook whitewall radials. Solid, quiet original stainless steel exhaust with no leaks. Check engine light is not lit (except at start up as it should.) No complaints - drives better than the miles - drive anywhere. Short version terms: Small non-refundable deposit as listed (but fast) by Paypal within 24 hours. Balance due in 5 days by cash in person, wire transfer, or Wells Fargo cashier's check. Will meet you or your transporter at my location by appointment after 6 pm weekdays or anytime weekends. No administrative fee on this auction. Temporary tags available at local license bureau on weekdays. WILL PICK YOU UP AT THE CHARLESTON, SC INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT weekday evenings or any time weekends. Inspections are strongly encouraged, but by appointment only - please email or call. By bidding, you agree you are satisfied with the item description. Note that pickup times are by appointment only also - just call! Prepaid vehicles scheduled for transport can be picked up any time with at least 24 business hours' notice - have your driver call me.
