Vehicle Detail

Wow! I hate to sell this car! I have owned more than 50 cars in my lifetime (so far!) and I must say that this car is the most enjoyable car I ever had, and that includes all kinds of muscle cars, Bronco's, sports cars, etc. Such a fun car to drive, comfortable, sounds great....I am really going to miss it. The only reason I am selling it is that I am having knee problems and while the clutch is very light, it is painful in the stop and go traffic that I seem to be in all the time. So I bought an automatic Mustang and that's my daily ride now. I drove the car a last weekend, and had a blast! So much more fun to drive than the Mustang! It weighs nearly 1,000 pounds less and is just so eager to please. Note that unlike most other SVT Focuses (Foci?) this car is not "kid owned" and ruined by "mods". What I have done is more on the maintenance side and making it more enjoyable to drive; not "faster". Please don't be afraid of the mileage! This car is well maintained and has been running on synthetic oil its entire life (with me it has been all Royal Purple.) Honest assessment Paint and Body - The paint is terrible, with peeling clearcoat, the passenger door keyed (happened before I bought it), peeling on the rear bumper, and some cracked body filler on right quarter. On the good side, I have had it for 9 years (since 101K miles) and never had an accident. Rust is minimal (some on the edge of paint chips on the hood and a little underneath and on the door weep holes but NO rot!) and no major dents. New headlights shells recently installed, along with 80W LED bulbs (SUPER BRIGHT!) Mechanical - On the bad side, the A/C has a leak somewhere, but I can't find it. Last summer I replaced the compressor, condenser, drier, orifice, etc. It must be the evaporator, as that is the last thing left! The timing belt is due for a change at 201K (180K now) and I have the replacement belt, water pump, tensioner, and special tools that will go with the car. I personally changed the last belt and associated parts at 101K. I think it is ready for wheel bearings by now too. Over the past 5 years of so I installed; • New oil pan - old one was rusty • New shift cables, Steeda shifter, new bushings, and I made a custom glass-filled Delrin square bushing for the shift shafts (shifts like a dream!) • New E-brake cables • New CAT back SS exhaust that is reasonably quiet (I still have the old Magnaflow duals) • Diablo tuner with awesome tune installed (factory tune stored on the Diablo) • Royal Purple synthetic every 5K miles • EAP Ford wheels (still have the 2004 5 spokes that go with the car) and 2-year-old Cooper tires • Brakes are still good • 2-DIN GPS/DVD unit and pre-wired for Sirius XM • Stiff engine mounts all around, but not too stiff! • Another set of new headlights also go with the car I am sure I am missing some info. The car runs great but doesn't look so great with the lousy paint. No trades for other cars; I have enough! If you are the high bidder, you bought it and must be ready to pick it up within 7 days of the auction ending.
