Vehicle Detail
800x600 A really good looking RED unmolested 7500k original mileage bike. This 40 year old bike needs nothing. All original and unmodified. It has been mostly stored in a heated garage. It does show some signs of aging like beginning chrome pitting and seat with one worn seam: New tires. No dents in the tank. Original paint still shines. Both red side covers are there. Headlight bucket is in good shape. Never crashed or dropped. Gauges are in good condition; faces are not faded. Seat lock works: key included; no longer matches ignition. 4 into 1 pipes are in great shape. Clutch and clutch cable operate as they should. Shifts in and out of gear just fine. Clear Oregon title to be signed over and ready for a new owner. Registration valid thru September 2018 Hand switches work; all lights work, Both brakes work. This bike is now used several times per week in for work commute. Includes documentation and two manuals. Includes period mirrors. A short link for a video: https://m.youtube.com/watch?feature=em-share_video_user&v=Z96mzYoz6BE A few of the minor negatives: The title says 1976 but the serial number is a 1975. Fuse box cover is missing New flasher is really for a 550—but Honda won’t take back electrical in exchange Small dent in front fender Mirrors are modern. I do have old mirrors ‘of the period’ Tools are mostly lost. $500 at auction close; balance cashier’s check or wire transfer. You pick the Portland OR shipper and I will ride the bike there to deliver after funds clear. If you don't know this bike— The 400F Super sport model is the FIRST production cafe racer. Super sexy lines. Super sexy profile. It really does not get any better than this bike. A lightweight and quick baby brother of the CB750. It was inspired by British cafe bikes, but Honda did it the only way they knew how to.... BETTER. Stock low bars. Angular tank. Super light, super agile. A 4-cylinder scorcher. Low enough seat for the shorter rider. There are dozens of reasons why this is one of the most desirable 70's factory Hondas. It was only produced for 3 years, so a fairly small number of bikes available. Collectors have been snatching these bikes so it's almost impossible to find one that the average Joe can afford. Hot August nights in Reno auction saw one go for nearly $5k in about the same shape as this one. Ownership of these bikes in really in investment terms for the low mileage, unmolested examples like this. Although this is investment grade, it is also one of the most fun Honda fours you can own. Smooth, quick and extra sexy. It is garage art that cooks in the streets. Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4
