This will be the last opportunity to bid on this vehicle auction starting at $19,999.00 with no reserve. If this auction ends with no sale I will be listing elsewhere (the Samba, Auto Trader etc.) as I am now being sandbagged with insertion fees. This unusual vehicle began life in March of 1971 as an empty Campmobile on the Wolfsburg assembly line, built for use in the US and for shipment to the UK. Based on the vehicle VIN data it is most likely that this Campmobile was purchased by an American and turned over to the Martin-Walter coach works in Kent, the manufacturer at that time of the Dormobile camper conversion. The stock 1600cc motor has been replaced with a 2150cc mill, fed by a modern MSD fuel injection system. Far too many details to list here, please see the link below for more.
