Ok getting divorced so I have to sell my current project. 1966 Mustang GT Clone. I would say this car is 85-90% Finished and I drive it 5-6 times a week , (as much as possible). This car is a factory 289 V8 with auto trans. The gas tank and brakes are brand new as well as most of the front suspenision the preivous owner has installed the larger front sway bar, Eibach springs KYB Gas-Adjust shocks, new lower control arms and joints, and I have a brand new rear sway bar kit for it that will be included in the sale. The engine is a rebuild 289 V8 with about 30 thousand on it. Its .030 over, flat tops, has an RV cam, Edelbrock intake and brand new Edelbrock carb, Hooker headers 2-1/4" exhaust with crossover and Flowmaster mufflers. The C-4 trans has been gone through and shifts very firm. The factory 8" rear end has been up graded to a 4.11 gear and a posi however I'm not sure if its a locker or a spool but you can definitely feel it on low speed cornering and paralle parking. This car has been upgraded with Competition Engineering Inc. sub frame connectors and a monte-carlo bar. The interior has new carpet, door panels, kick panels and I have recovered the Pass side seat however I have not had time to do the the driver side yet but have all new upholstery to do it and that will be included in the sale as well as a much nicer used dash. This car has the aftermarket vintage sound radio but its not hooked up yet and is lacking rear speakers. The paint is fresh base / clear but could use a mild buff job and has a few minor imperfections but it don't look bad and the car has been jammed. All lights, gauges, wipers, and heat, work as they should aside from the dome light and reverse lights. I have not put bulbs in them yet. Front and rear frame rails are not bad at all and the shock towers and aprons are nice. The trunk is also nice and has been refinished with the original flex stone style finish and has the heavy duty rubber mat and also has a jack bag and spare tire cover (sorry no spare). Under the hood has been detailed and looks great. The radiator don't leak and the car runs cool. Some of the finishing touches this car needs is :The rear tail pipes need to be re-bent to fit the GT style valanceAll windows roll up and down great but could use better adjustment to keep from leaking at the carwashThe altenator bearing went out the last time I drove it so it will need to be replacedThe ignition switch works but is sloppy and will need replacedThe glove box door latch is not working properlyThe tires all hold air and have good tread but have some mild dry rot and in my opinion the rears are too small.The front driver seat needs to be recovered and the rear lower rear seat needs mounting brackets installedThe trans pan gasket weeps some fluid but not bad at all and all seals are good and the trans is very strong (grabs a second every time and a third if you stay in it)The floors have all been replaced and seamed sealed but sheet metal screws were used and I would remove the carpet and weld them inThe header gaskets are leaking (at least one of them) and will need to be replacedThis car has some rattles and noises that are common in a car this old nothing serious but I would address them for a better driving experienceLike I said this car is a work in progress but all the hard stuff is done.I'm sure there is more that I'm forgetting but overall this is a very simple project to finish and the car runs, looks, stops, and drives well as it is. I have many extra used and new parts like the trunk key bezel , trunk weather striping, rear window stainless, some new front bumper brackets, brand new sun pro tach, front seat upholstery, seat belts, and much more etc. I will include everything I have extra with the sale and it will more than fill the trunk.
