Vehicle Detail

96 RMW 90k LDM WB4 Up for offer is a 1996 Buick Roadmaster Estate Wagon with 90k miles. Collectors Edition like every other 96 Roadmaster. Loaded up with power everything. Boasting GMs Corvette inspired multiport injected 5.7L LT1 V8 engine and 4L60E 4 speed automatic transmission, she puts down plenty of power. Base 2.56 gears; open rear end, rated for 3000 lbs. towing. Relatively rare (not saying its more valuable) wood delete. Delivers consistent 16 in town and 24 highway at 70 mph. No accidents on the history report - send me your email address and Ill send it to you. Please read the description and view pics carefully - runs and drives GREAT, body has no rust, and interior is very nice, but has lots of little exterior cosmetic issues and Im mentioning every little thing on this car I can find wrong, mostly because it photographs nicely and I dont want you to think its a perfect car. Priced accordingly. Questions? Click "ask seller a question" or call Fred at 315-246-0612. Please allow time for a response as I work 8-5 at a regular job in Charleston. Car available for showing in Mt. Pleasant after 6:30 pm weekdays or any time weekends by appointment. Condition Report ENGINE: Runs on all eight cylinders without smoking, missing or knocking. Engine runs at proper temperature. Good battery & good charging system. Runs strong. TRANSMISSION: Performs as designed. Engages gears quickly and shifts through all forward gears and reverse with good downshift and torque converter performance. Clean fluid with no burn odors. EXTERIOR: Body: Body is in fair shape. No outer body rust except a couple paint chips. Small dents on the lower parts of the doors and right quarterpanel. Hood has several small dents that I tried to photograph but are small and hard to see in pictures. Some body repair to left front fender is imperfect. Above average. Paint: Paint is OK on most parts. Front fenders and hood have been repainted. Front bumper has lots of paint cracks and chips. Some other scratches around the body as seen in pics. Other: Lower stainless bright trim has some small dings all around. Rubber side trim is all there. Grill has some cracked vanes. Windshield has a crack right up the middle (I can get new one installed for $180), all other glass are good with no chips or cracks. Undercarriage is solid with light surface rust as seen in pics but has been undercoated since new. Underhood sheet metal/wheelhouses are solid with some surface rust on the radiator support but none on wheelhouses. Tailgate sill and door jambs have no rust as seen in pics (the one pic shows undercoating grease, not rust). Aluminum wheels are in good shape with some staining, two center caps have cracks. Ill include at no charge an undamaged blue front bumper cover for the buyer to install. INTERIOR: Interior of the car is in nice shape. Dash has no cracks. Headliner is in nice shape. Carpeting is nice in both passenger and cargo areas. Rear seat has a small tear low on back left side. No smoke or pet odors. Nice interior overall. ELECTRICAL STUFF: All inspection items work (lights, horn, wipers, etc.) Most power options work reliably, including power windows, power locks, power seats, hot heat and cold A/C, tilt, cruise, am/fm stereo (cassette does not work), twilight sentinel, intermittent wipers, and rear defroster. The rear hatch opens with key only. These 90s GM full size cars are notorious for inaccurate fuel gauges - please keep full until youre sure of how inaccurate it is. DRIVEABILITY: Drives out well. Has a small amount of play in the steering. Suspension is good and car tracks straight going down the road. Brakes work well with good linings. Tires have about 80% tread remaining all around on a matched set of good quality whitewall radials. Solid original stainless exhaust pipes with no leaks. Check engine light is not lit (except at start up as it should.) Short version terms: Small non-refundable deposit as listed (but fast) by Paypal within 24 hours. Balance due in 5 days by cash in person, wire transfer, or Wells Fargo cashiers check. Will meet you or your transporter at my location by appointment after 6 pm weekdays or anytime weekends. No administrative fee on this auction. Any other costs - tax, emissions inspection, registration, shipping, etc. are buyers responsibility - see full terms. 30 days to pick up. Temporary tags available at local license bureau on weekdays. WILL PICK YOU UP AT THE CHARLESTON, SC INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT weekday evenings or any time weekends. Inspections are strongly encouraged, but by appointment only - please email or call. By bidding, you agree you are satisfied with the item description. Note that pickup times are by appointment only also - just call! Prepaid vehicles scheduled for transport can be picked up any time with at least 24 business hours notice - have your driver call me. Im happy to drive the car to a nearby large parking lot for easier truck loading. See my about me page for full terms.
