1962 Nash Metropolitan For sale is a real nice driver’s quality California Metro. Last year of production and most desirable year of all models. 1500 CC high compression motor with a 3 speed manual transmission. The engine runs strong with good compression. The clutch is firm and transmission shifts smouth and easy. Alernator conversion and ignition wiring upgrades have been completed for reliability. Tires, battery, coolant hoses, alternator belt, spark plug wires, points and condenser are all new. Both brake and clutch hydraulic systems have been rebuilt or replaced with new components to include; brake master cylinder, clutch master cylinder, clutch slave cylinder, front and back brake cylinders, and all hydraulic hoses. Brand new interior to include the headliner, door panels, front and rear quarter panels, carpet kit, front and rear seats. This California Metro has been stored indoors and on non-operational status since 1990. Though it runs and drives wonderfully, it does have signs of age consistent with a 55 year old vehicle. The paint is driver’s quality with a few minor dents, scratches and imperfections. Being a west coast vehicle, it has little to no visible rust. The previous owner had the floor pans replaced and removed the window and door seals with the expectation of replacing them. Front and rear bumpers show their age with a few dents and some pitting in the chrome. The stainless steel trim around the front and rear glass and body is in real nice shape.
