I am selling our 1966 Mustang that we have had for nearly 40 years. This car has a 289 V8, auto transmission, power steering, power top and FACTORY disc brakes. It is in excellent overall condition although it does need some minor work to get it back to 100%. This Mustang has been driven less than 500 miles over the past 15 years and needs a tune up/carb rebuild, a new power steering control valve which is leaking and worn out and new front tires. A new muffler and tail pipe were just installed. Everything works on this car with the exception of the "AMP" gauge on the dash. The car is all stock--no mods have been done to it--a pure Mustang. This Mustang was sold new in the Washington DC area and then ended up in Tennessee where we purchased it in the summer of 1977 when it was brought to Michigan. It has also spent 15 years in the Phoenix, AZ area in the late 1990's and early 2000's. The body is SOLID--it has NO RUST anywhere! In fact, it has not been outside overnight, or in the rain, in over 40 years. The car was repainted about 8 years ago-the top was replaced at the same time. The paint shines nice but it does have a few minor dings and scratches. It is NOT a show car--it is a weekend cruiser. This Mustang was used in a Hagerty Insurance TV ad campaign. It has appeared on TV during the Barrett Jackson Auctions. Ebay won't allow a link to the video so please search "hagerty lifes better" on Youtube to see the ad. This car is driveable but it will need some TLC to make it perfect again.
